Kavash

The Federation of Kavash

Kavash is a medium sized country in Eastern Europe (Just to the East of Austria in the real world), it is a mixed country with some areas being lush forests full of animals and plant life, some areas being industrial wastelands and the rest is a warzone. Kavash is a unique region to Sheogorath, although it is a very democratic country and demands that it's people have a say in everything, it is led by corrupt system that rigs elections, exploits the people and has an unquenchable thirst for war.

Kavash lies upon the borders of two countries, Gael-Land, a country it deems neutral in it's aims, and Brovenia, a war torn country that seemingly begs for the attention of the government. Brovenia is a very desirable land at the moment due to it's high quality resources, gold deposits and coal abundance, this makes it a prime target for all power-hungry nations.

Kavash itself is generally a happy place to be, if a little polluted. Many environmental groups have taken up action around the bustling metropolis of Kavash Major (The only other town being Kavash Minor) which emits more greenhouse gases than any other city in Sheogorath.

History

The Beginning of Kavash

Kavash was a native nation to this region, originally it was a small tribe of farmers who developed large areas of land in order to make themselves more powerful, it later developed into a busy trading settlement, moving quickly to market town, industrial city and now a workers paradise. In Kavash there is no job that could be considered under-paid, although there are no safety limits on any jobs so it is the employer who is to blame for any deaths or accidents.

It is largely a Capitalist country, excluding the small farms in the little countryside that Kavash has left.

Conflicts

There have been many wars throughout Kavash's history, some aren't even worth mentioning because the declaration of war came after the battle, to make the massacre of a group of people seem legitimate. There have been three major wars though that have to be noted. The Gael-Kavash Conflict in the earliest years of recorded history when the two tribes briefly thought for land, the Gael's gave up and went North after a stalemate was reached, but of course, the Kavash tribe marked it as their own victory. The Kavash-Valupern War which happened around 1813 when Valupern struck out at Kavash, only to be bitterly defeated and to lose most of it's foreign land. And the Broven War, which saw the end of Kavash's control over the Brovenian Land. It was thought between the citizens of Brovenia, or what is now known as the Stragglers, Gael-Land, Volghon, Dagatha and Valupern. Each nation decided that it wanted control of Brovenia, and the Brovenian people decided that they wanted freedom. It has been a very bloody conflict and there is no clear victor at the moment with the majority of Brovenia under control of the opposing sides and some free territories owned by the Brovenian people.
