The Emirate of Khrashka is a small, safe nation, renowned for its strong anti-business politics. Its compassionate population of 400 million are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.
It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Public Transport, Law & Order, and the Environment. The average income tax rate is 100%, and even higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal.
Political parties are banned from advertising and receiving private donations, tourists from around the world come to visit the country's famous rainforests, cars are banned, and meat-eating is frowned upon. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is well under control, thanks to a well-funded police force. Khrashka's national animal is the Camel, which roams freely in the nation's many deserts, and its currency is the Tharka.
