Within the Associated Systems of Klonor, the Klonor Space Corps has been the primary military organisation and first line of defence for the nation since Klonor first expanded off Old Earth. The primary organ of the Corps of Klonor, the Space Corps has the duty of protecting the citizens, territory, and leaders of Klonor from external invasion, internal revolution, and any other such threats as may arise. Commanded since its inception by the reigning Supreme General, so far there have been three seperate leaders of the Corps: Abel Salm, Yunger Keane, and the current Richard Ihm.

Ships of the Klonor Space Corps are crewed by citizens from all seven of the Associated Systems, the numbers balanced among one another so that no system may lay claim to being oppressed by the Association through the Corps. Vessels of the Corps have the registry prefix AS (Associated Systems) followed by a letter, or combination of letters, denoting their class.

Organization of the Klonor Space Corps

For standard operations, the Navy of the Klonor Space Corps is divided into standardised and equal combat groups referred to as System Fleets; each one permanently stationed within one of the seven stellar-systems controlled by the Association. In times of emergency the various System Fleets may be shifted from system to system as the situation warrants, however there are three Combat Fleets, usually stationed within one of the three Military Installations while not on patrol, whose specific duties are to respond to emergencies to large for the local System Fleets to counter.

The standard composition of a System Fleet is as follows, with the specific ships being determined by both the system in question and the current status of the Klonor Space Corps:

  • 1 Destroyer Flagship (Hecate or Orion)
  • 2 Destroyer supplements (Hecate or Orion)
  • 3 Fighter/Bomber Carriers
  • 32 Cruisers (Aeolus, Fenris, Leviathon, Prometheus or Daedalus)
  • 48 Corvette Escorts (Deimos, Mercury, or Dreadnought)
  • 4 Volition class Pirate Ships

Vital systems, such as Deneb and SR-2091, also posess one or more Battleships of either the Achilles or Iroquois class and a Megingjard class Heavy Fire Destroyer.

The three Combat Fleets, obviously designed for higher combat ability, are composed of:

  • 2 Megingjard class Heavy Fire Destroyers
  • 3 Battleships (1 Achilles, 2 Iroquois)
  • 5 Destroyers (2 Hecate, 3 Orion)
  • 40 Cruisers (20 Prometheus, 20 Daedalus)
  • 70 Corvettes (30 Mercury, 40 Dreadnoughts)
  • 200 Mobile Mjolnir Remote Beam Cannons
  • 1 Odin class Anti-Fighter/Command Ship
  • 6 Volition class Pirate Ships

A fourth Combat Fleet, officially designated 4'th System Fleet and stationed within Deneb, is identically composed with the addition of the Colossus.

The Constantine and the New Dawn 03 are not officially assigned to any individual Fleet, the former usually used in isolation as a mobile assault base and the latter usually stationed within SR-2091 as that systems first line of defence and mode of emergency contact with the rest of the Association.

Each vessel of sufficient size carries numerous Fighter, Bomber, and Interceptor craft for defense, offense, and other such operations that the larger Capital Ships can not undertake alone. The Fighter Craft of the Klonor Space Corps are among the most advanced fighters within the known Universe and provide combat versatility to even the simplest of the vessels.

Local planetary defenses (Manned, controlled, and supplied by the individual planets upon which they are stationed) follow a seperate standardised pattern found at Klonor Standard Planetary Defenses.

Ships of the Klonor Space Corps

Command Craft, Installations, and Juggernaughts

Colossus class Juggernaught

Main article(s): The Colossus

Our most powerful ship when initially constructed, this ships construction took over 20 years to complete. Over 6 kilometers in length, and more powerful than 5 Orion class destroyers combined, this is the ultimate in Klonor weaponry. Armed with 12 Heavy Beam Cannons (A-9), 45 Mk II Laser Turrets, 12 Missle Towers, and 15 Flak Guns, this ship wields more firepower than most Klonor battle groups. Recently docked for a full refit, this ship now also sports a miniaturized Harbinger Cannon, as well as the latest Massometer and Ergometer.
Fighter Capacity: 240

p746399.jpg

Constantine class Juggernaught

Main article(s): Constantine class Juggernaught

Initially conceived by the the Draconian-Rossian Alliance after the Fall, the Constantine is currently the most powerful vessel in the Klonor armada. 7.5 kilometers in length and crewed by 15,000 Klonor servicemen, the firepower of the Constantine results in the ship often being referred to as a Fleet in and of itself. In addition to a myriad of Vernii weaponry, the Constantine is armed with 86 Mk II Laser Turrets, 14 Heavy Beam Cannons (A-8), and one miniaturized Harbinger Cannon. With such a high potential for destruction, the Constantine is often used independently as a solitary assault force and mobile defense base.
Fighter Capacity: 320

Nexus class Long Distance Emigration Ship/Space Attack Carrier - Destroyer

Main article(s): Nexus class Colony/Combat Ship

The Nexus-Class Next Generation Ships are the latest long-range exploration, fleet command, and colonization vessels being used by the Associated Systems of Klonor to probe the far reaches of the galaxy. 2.4 kilometers in length and containing a crew of 8,000 (In addition to the 7,000 crew members and civilians in the "city" portion of the colonization ship), the Nexus class serves as the Flagship of the colonization fleets and battle groups currently roving the distant portions of the galaxy. As its name implies, the Nexus is the first class of ship to utilize what has been termed "Nexus Energy". The Nexus Drive allows for rapid travel over even millions of light-years, providing it with nearly limitless travel range. For such a large and vital ship, the Nexus class carries a relatively small number of weaponry. It's primary Anti-Capital Ship weaponry is four BFGreen Heavy Beam Cannons (A-6), modelled on the original Cannons of the Colossus and capable of handling assaults from even Battleship class ships. Its primary offensive weapon is a Heavy Particle Beam Cannon (A-X)which utilizes the Nexus Energy which powers the vessel. Termed the Nexus Cannon, it is the single most powerful weapon in the Klonor armory.
Fighter Capacity: 150

p696903.jpg

Megingjard class Heavy Fire Destroyer

While the specs for this ship are heavily classified, the information we are able to release is quite comprehensive. This ship, while lacking Beam Cannons, Laser Turrets, Flak Guns, and every other conventional weapon, sport two converted Harbinger Cannons. Due to the necessary compactness of the guns, despite the vessels length of nearly three kilometers, the rate of fire has been lowered from one shot every 4 seconds to one shot every 15 seconds, yet with both guns firing it can still launch eight Harbinger Warheads per minute. This ship, with a crew of only 14,000, has the ability to singlehandedly decimate entire fleets by itself.
Ammunition Capacity: 20 Harbinger Warheads

p400869.jpg

Arcadia class Stellar Installation

Early Klonor space stations were constructed much smaller, and were mostly used for zero-G research purposes. Later on, with advancements in space construction technologies, stations got considerably larger. When the first Arcadia-class station was commissioned, the Klonor Empire decided to redesignate it an Installation. Used for a variety of purposes, most major systems are home to at least one Installation. They typically serve as the center of trade and communications for the surrounding star system. Home to scores of smaller ships, including repair vessels, freighters, fighters, and transports, an Arcadia class Installation is always a safe haven for a convoy of attack ships returning from battle. Where the Orion is the symbol of Klonor power, the Arcadia is the shining beacon of stability.
Crew: 10,000
Passenger Capacity: 15,000
Housing Facilities: 27 Four-Star Hotels
Repair/Refueling Capacity: Freighters to Mid-Sized Capital Ships
Armament: 20 Beam Cannons (B-5), 250 Mk I Laser Turrets, 75 Flak Guns
Fighter Capacity: 300

gti-arcadialg.jpg

Fighter/Bomber Carrier

The Carrier, designed purely as a means of transporting and deploying smaller ships, has been vital to Klonor war efforts. Capable of holding 300 fighters it can provide enormous support for any offensive, defensive, or consolidating action. Being primarily a Carrier it is unequipped with other means of offense, thus no Beams or Laser Turrets, yet it is covered from bow to stern in the most advanced anti-fighter defenses that we have. Twenty Flak Guns and ten Anti-Fighter Beam Cannons (D-14)across the 2.4 kilometer length makes this ships nearly impervious to fighter assault. The 300 fighter docking bay is also equipped with the facilities to repair, rearm, and even build fighter ships; the 12,000 man crew more than capable of performing all three tasks. With newer and better improvements in the field of fighter technology we see the importance of a top-notch carrier. Thankfully, we've found one.
Fighter Capacity: 300

carrier.jpg

Odin class Anti-Fighter/Command Ship

Designed as the latest in high tech anti-fighter defense and fleet control, the Odin has enough firepower to thwart any except the largest fighter assaults. Armed with 8 GTW-7 Banshee's, 32 GTW-15 Avenger's, 48 GTW-41 Disruptor Cannon's, and 72 GTM-4 Hornet Missile Launchers this ship can combat both fighter threats and, if in necessary circumstances, most small to medium sized capital ships. Equipped with a full range of communication systems and battle analysis computers, this 500 meter in diameter saucer can be used as a complete command center for almost any fleet action. When fully crewed with 2,300, this vessel is excllent for the defense and control of a contested stellar system.

p400874.jpg

Orbital Fortress

The newly designed Orbital Fortress shall take the place of the dozens of ships needed to defend a planet or vital installation. They free up those ships for offensive actions, rescue missions, deep space combat, or any of a dozen other such situations. A bare few of these four kilometer Fortresses shall take the place of dozens of Cruisers and Corvettes, its crew of 20,000 keeping the security of a planet intact and greatly increasing the offensive capabilities of any nation.

Weaponry:
2 Tsunamis Launchers
5 Heavy Beam Cannons (A-3)
10 Standard Beam Cannons(B-6)
48 Mk II Laser Turrets
10 Missiles Towers
20 Flak Guns
Powered by a MiniStar III Engine

p729551.jpg

Destroyers and Battleships

Hecate class Destroyer

The new Hecate class of destroyers is quickly becoming the flagship of Klonor battle groups. Though less heavily armed than the Orion, at 2.3 kilometers in length the Hecate carries over 150 combat spacecraft and a crew of nearly 11,000. The ASD Aquitaine is a superb example of this new ship class, serving as the flagship of the 3rd Fleet, based in the Regulus system. Armed with 1 Beam Cannon (B-11), 4 Light Beam Cannons (B-4), 16 Mk I Laser Turrets, and 10 Flak Guns, it is extremely better defended against fighter attacks and can remain in the fight much longer than the older Destroyer.
Fighter Capacity: 160

p746407.jpg

Orion class Destroyer

The mother of all Klonor ships. Measuring a frightening 2.1 kilometers in length, these ships are our main battle cruisers, sent to quell disturbances with startling ease. Armed with 3 Beam Cannons (B-9), 3 Light Beam Cannons (B-4), 21 Mk I Laser Turrets, 3 Flak Guns, and crewed by over 10,000 individuals, these ships can handle almost anything thrown at it and possess the firepower to terrorize any Capital Ships which come within range. Knowing an Orion is passing through one’s home system makes the civilians feel safe, but a prolonged tour is an ominous sign. Where these ships wander, war is certain to follow.
Fighter Capacity: 96

gtd-orionlg.jpg

Achilles class Battleship

The first of a new class of ship, the Achilles is a new attempt at combat. All previous Klonor ship models, with a few exceptions, have been multi-pupose vessels. They are capable of serving as command ships, escort ships, combat vessels, even colony ships. Very rarely does a ship have only one single focus, and even rarer is that focus combat. The Achilles, however, is a purely destructive vessel. Stretching four kilometers in length, crewed by over 19,000, and armed with 8 Heavy Beam Cannons (A-3), 28 Mk I Laser Turrets, and 5 Tsunami Launchers this ship sports more firepower than all other currently manufactured vessels, excepting only the Colossus and the Megingjard. Unfit for anything except combat, this ship is excellent for defense of vital installations, as well as for assaults against well defended targets. In fact, this ship has such concentrated firepower that, in a wargame with the 3'rd Klonor Battle Fleet, it managed to disable it's Hecate Flagship and it's two Orion Destroyer's before finally succumbing.

p400877.jpg

Iroquois class Battleship

The Iroquois, the second ship class to receive the Battleship designation, shall be armed with two Heavy Beam Cannons (A-1) and it's Mk I Laser Turrets will number 17, even greater than that of the massive Orion class Destroyer. In addition, each Iroquois will be deployed carrying three unrestricted Harbinger Warheads, their blast range exponentially larger than the restricted version (that which is is normally deployed). Though no single man ships will be stationed aboard the Iroquois class, the sophisticated sensor arrays (stationed at 60 degrees around the 1.5 kilometer hull) provide enough targeting data to allow the Laser Turrets to function quite well as fighter deterrents. Thus, there is no need for Flak Guns, which provides more energy and room for other systems. The Iroquois will alloy for quick and efficient deployment of the necessary firepower without the cost of deploying our massive Destroyer class ships, which require the commitment of far more than the 7,000 souls necessary to command this new Battleship.

26.jpg

Cruisers, Corvettes, and Frigates

Mercury class Corvette

The Mercury is the latest in a Klonor attempt to construct a ship with formidable firepower as well as the ability to respond instantly to important situations. With 10 Mk I Laser Turrets and 10 Anti-fighter Beam Cannons (D-14) across its 129 meter length, it has the ability to duke it out with larger Destroyers and Cruisers, as well as being amply defended against massed fighter attacks. Due to it's compact size it is extremely maneuverable and capable of faster acceleration than any other Corvette in the fleet. With its minimal crew of 614 it has taken over as the fast reponse units and is slowly replacing the Deimos and Dreadnought class Corvettes on the front lines.

mercury.jpg

NSO-929 Dreadnaught class Corvette

The NSO-929 is now the most successful medium-sized military vessel in active service. Despite the age of the design, and competition from both larger and faster ships, the modest operating cost and high reliability of the '929 mean that there are now some 194 of these 162 meter vessels in active service. Armed with two Particle Beam Cannons (B-2), mounted on the port and starboard weapons pylons, and two missle magazines, again on the port and starboard pylons, it can handle almost anything thrown at it. Defended by two standard Displacement shields it has the ability to take a beating, then blow the hell out of you. Currently utilizing discontinued automated circutry, the Dreadnaught is crewed by a crew of 45 (with the ability of carrying up to 4 more), meaning it can bring Cruiser class power to bear upon enemies with minimal cost or risk. As an added bonus the bridge is capable of detatchment and independant flight, as well as the ability to dock with different Dreadnaughts and control them.

p1169515.jpg

Deimos class Cruiser

Deimos-class Cruisers are the newest addition to the Klonor fleet. These sleek, ultra-modern warships are the products of a new era of ship design, maximizing maneuverability and firepower. Their 809 meter long hulls are strengthened with collapsed-core molybdenum sheathing for better protection against beam fire, and their Jimathon-designed reactor core provides more energy per ton than any other Klonor ship class. Their weaponry includes 10 Mk I Laser Turrets, 4 Beam Cannons (B-4), 6 Flak Guns, and 2 Missile Towers. Manned by a crew of 3,800 and capable of immediate responce to emergencies, as older ships are slowly phased out these Cruisers will become the foundation of the Klonor fleet.

lgpic.jpg

Aeolus class Cruiser

The ASC Aeolus was the first cruiser class ever produced by the RNI shipyards orbiting Deneb II. Only two dozen of these cruisers were put into service in Klonor fleets, with production ending in 2365. Klonor Command assigns Aeolus-class ships primarily to guard slow-moving convoys against fighter and bomber wings, as these cruisers are severely out-gunned by most capital ships in service today and assignment to the 1,570 person crew used to be considered punishment for those who aspired to a prestigious command. Their 2 Mk I laser Turrets and 6 Flak Guns serve as marvelous deterrents to smaller craft, however, and the 330 meter Cruiser has, with recent breakthroughs in fighter technology, taken on a whole new importance in the fleet. Their two Beam Cannons (B-6), though not sufficient to do any significant damage to larger vessels, allow them to at least engage other Cruisers during combat.

p746415.jpg

Fenris class Cruiser

Originally designed as a Strike Cruiser, this ship is both fast and maneuverable (for a capital ship). The mainstay of the Klonor fleet, it measures 260 meters from nose to tail and has a hull strong enough to withstand the most powerful enemy warheads. It was later decided that a second line of cruisers, designed for defense, would be produced with stronger weapons, though less speed. The standard Fenris Strike Sruiser is armed with 2 Beam Cannons (B-6), 10 Mk I Laser Turrets, 2 Flak Guns, and one Fusuion Mortar. The Fenris Cruiser is crewed by 1,200 members of the KSC. Both versions are currently in production and active use, but they are slowly being phased out for the Deimos and Mercury corvettes.
Fighter Capacity: 4

gtc-fenrislg.jpg

Leviathan class Heavy Cruiser

Based on the same design as the Fenris, the Leviathan plays a much different role. Designed as more of a Heavy Cruiser, the Leviathan has much stronger weapons, hull, and countermeasures. Sacrificing much in the way of speed, it is mainly used in defense and major battle areas, where it is not needed to dart in and out in minutes. 100 meters longer than the Fenris, it sports two Beam Cannons (B-4), one Heavy Beam Cannon (B-14), 13 Mk I Laser Turrets, 4 Flak Guns, and one Fusion Mortar. Crewed by 1,700, this ship is the workhorse of the Klonor fleet.
Fighter Capacity: 10

gtc-fenrislg.jpg

Prometheus class Interception Cruiser

Though smaller in size than the aging Fenris class Cruisers, the new Prometheus class is actually a vessel comparable in ability to the larger Leviathan class of Heavy Cruisers. 257 meters in length and crewed by over 1,220 servicemen, the Prometheus does not posses even a single standard Beam Cannon. However, the lack of the normal Capital Ship weaponry enables the Cruiser to carry firepower normally incompatible with its size. It is armed with 10 Mk II Laser Turrets and, designed for offense against vastly larger and more powerful ships, one Heavy Beam Cannon (A-1). The combination of weaponry allows it to both defend itself from fighter sized craft and attack ships in the Destroyer or Battleship class. Expected to replace the older Leviathans in the near future, there are plans for a supplementary ship to be deployed with the Prometheus in order to provide it with the abililty to duel multiple ships at once, a capability that the Leviathans currently posses.
Fighter Capacity: 8

120-Prometheus-24.jpg

Daedalus class Escort Cruiser

The new Prometheus class Interception Cruiser, the smallest Cruiser class in service by the Corps, was designed as a replacement for the aging Leviathan class Heavy Cruisers. However, though it holds the same offensive firepower as the Leviathan, it is not suited for dueling with numerous capital ships at the same time. The new Daedalus class, developed in conjunction with the Prometheus, will be deployed alongside the smaller Cruiser and serve to protect it from Cruiser and Corvette assaults while it launches attacks on the larger Destroyer and Battleship classes. The Daedalus, 335 meters in length and crewed by nearly 1,600 servicemen, is armed with 13 Mk II Laser Turrets for fighter and Corvette deterrent and two standard Beam Cannons (B-6) for Cruiser combat. In addition to escorting the Prometheus, the Daedalus is expected to replace the older Fenris class Cruiser in the near future.
Fighter Capacity: 16

p1792063.jpg

Iceni class Frigate

The new Iceni class of combat ship is the first Klonor vessel constructed within the Frigate class. Originally built under Admiral Miller's direction at the Freedom shipyards in Ross 128, the Iceni itself is currently serving as her personal Flagship. Slightly longer than a kilometer in length, the Iceni class is armed with 9 standard Mk I Laser Turrets, 7 Mk II Laser Turrets, 2 Flak Cannons, 4 Missile Towers, and 3 Beam Cannons (B-7). With a sheath of ultra-dense depleted uranium shielding around its subsystems, the Iceni is an extremely tough nut to crack. In addition, a new technological breakthrough in molecular compression allows for the incorporation of a miniature Knossos Sub-Space Portal within the very hull of the ship, giving the Iceni access to Jump-Nodes outside of the standard Jump-Node Network. With Miller on board providing tactical guidance, and supported by nearly 4,800 of Klonors elite servicemen, the Iceni is nearly the equal of an Association battle group.

Support and Transport Vessels

Poseidon Military Freighter

The Poseidon was designed for military purposes, and is easily the strongest freighter craft in the fleet. Its fast speed and good maneuvering are offset by its weak hull. It does have enough turrets to defend itself if attacked, but not for long. It's best to let this freighter help you out with it's 4 Laser Cannons while you take the hits on your own shield, rather than risking the destruction of this ship.

gtfr-poseidonlg.jpg

Triton Military Freighter

The ASFr Triton hauls almost twice the tonnage of the Poseidon-class freighters that have served Klonor since the Great War. The ability to distribute supplies and munitions is a strategic imperative in any theater of operations. With the Triton, battle groups can keep their forces well-equipped and well-armed, even if warships are dispersed over multiple systems. The Triton not only has the ability to dock with and haul TAC units, but it also has an internal cargo bay for ship-to-ship transfers. The Klonor Empire expects the Triton to reduce its reliance on deep-space depots, which are vulnerable to attack, piracy, and sabotage. It's sole Flak Gun and Laser Turret do not provide it with much offensive power, but any valuable convoy will have an escort of combat-ready fighters.

p746424.jpg

Chronos class Freighter

The massive Chronos was not designed for military use. A civilian design, it's slow, barely maneuverable, and can barely defend itself with it's single two-cannon turret. It is, however, one of the only Klonor freighters capable of transporting the largest TAC-class cargo containers. It's far weaker in all respects than the smaller military-design Poseidon freighter, but its relatively strong hull and cargo capacity have turned this into a popular supply convoy craft on the front lines.

gtfr-chronoslg.jpg

Zephyrus class Gas Miner

When a fighter pilot sees a ship of the Zephyrus class, one thought flashes through his or her mind: "Thank God I don't have to fly that tub!" The Zephyrus is a gas-mining ship, designed to harvest the hydrogen-rich gases of interstellar nebulae. It's the largest non-combatant ship in the Association fleet. The Zephyrus's thin armor, weak weaponry, and poor maneuverability give it a very low survival rate in combat, so these ships stay well back from the front lines. Despite these weaknesses, the Zephyrus plays a critical role in the operation of the Association fleet. The hydrogen gathered by Zephyrus-class ships powers the fleet's MiniStar Engines. Without this fuel, offensive operations would cease. For this reason, foes often seek out these gas-mining behemoths.

lgpic.jpg

Elysium class Transport

Since the start of space colonization, the standard transport has been used by everyone, civilian and military. While it has undergone minor changes time and time again, it remains a simple design: A vehicle meant to transport personnel from one place to another. Even though Elysiums are armored, they can't take massive amounts of abuse. Excellent for troop dropships or for the personal transport of high level diplomats. An excellent overall ship.

gtt-elysiumlg.jpg

Hippocrates class Medical Frigate

Klonor scientists developed the ASM Hippocrates early in the post-war Reconstruction. The urgent need for mobile medical units that could respond to humanitarian crises across multiple systems prompted the Empire to commission a new class of hospital ship. With the outbreak of the NTF insurgency, Fleet Command has once again called the Hippocrates into active military service. Its on-board facilities provide state-of-the-art medical care to thousands of patients and help transport refugees out of contested systems into the safety of Allied-controlled regions. The unusual design of the Hippocrates enables its crew to isolate sections of the ship quickly in the event of quarantine or hull breach.

p746425.jpg

Faustus class Research Vessel

The Faustus Science Vessel was, and still is, primarily a civilian craft. However, in the 14 years since the Great War war began, more and more of these have been commissioned by the Klonor Empire in order to pursue military research. Unfortunately, its obvious value, poor fighting capabilities, and lack of speed make it a prime target for enemy ships. As a result, you will rarely find many of these ships near the front lines of battle. Equipped with three fully stocked labs, experimentation chambers, and the latest in development technology the Faustus provides you with a very capable mobile research and development center.

gtsc-faustuslg.jpg

Charybdis class Sensor Ship

Ships of the ASA Charybdis class have been packed with the latest tachyon-enabled AWACS equipment from GDI labs. Each Klonor battle group has a squadron of Charybdis-class ships assigned to it. These ships double the range of the group’s standard detection arrays. Charybdis ships are found at the center of a battle group, as their thin armor, weak offensive capability, and poor maneuverability make them easy victims for enemy bombers. They have proven indispensable, however, in forays into the nebula beyond the Knossos portal. Without the aid of AWACS, battle groups would be flying blind within the EM disturbances of the nebula. Charybdis-class ships are very vulnerable in this environment, as witnessed by the recent loss of the ASA Panopticon from the 3rd Battle Group.

p746426.jpg

Hygeia class Support Ship

The ASS Hygeia is the fleet’s newest Klonor support ship. It is fast and maneuverable, a necessity when trying to dock with fighters in the heat of battle. Triton Dynamics designed the Hygeia class with huge cargo bays for munitions storage, plus the latest magnetic-stasis delivery system for quickly re-supplying combat craft with missiles and bombs. The Hygeia’s repair facilities are driven by neural-net AI, for ultra-fast system diagnostics and repair. The high number of warheads carried by the Hygeia makes it a dangerous ship to be near when it blows up.

p746427.jpg

Miscellaneous Equipment

Volition class Pirate Ship

Designed by a somewhat inebriated ship designer at Triton Dynamics, the Volition is actually an excellent anti-fighter ship. Armed with 2 Mk II Laser Turrets and 20 Flak Guns across its 500 meter hull, it is the best defense against fighters and bombers currently in the fleet. Although it needs a massive capital ship escort and its 2,300 person crew would undoubtably rather be serving aboard a Destroyer or Battleship, it's ability to single handedly defend large convoys and stations against massive fighter attacks makes it well worth the cost.

p746429.jpg

Mjolnir Remote Beam Cannon

The Mjolnir Remote Beam Cannon is the most advanced sentry gun device known. Vastly tougher and deadlier than the earlier Watchdog, Cerberus, and Alastor models, the Mjolnir is a danger to any hostile fighter or bomber that comes within range. Its two light beam weapons and three missile banks enable it to take on multiple bogeys simultaneously. They are used to help protect the most vital front-line Klonor installations.

p746430.jpg

GTM-N1 Harbinger Bomb

A fusion bomb surrounded by 3 salted fission bombs; the propulsion unit is a half-size version of a regulation Klonor fighter thruster (Class II). Given the weight of the payloads, the missile is slow despite the power of the thruster; as the Harbinger is exceptionally large, Klonor fighters and bombers are limited to carrying 2 of these weapons at any given time. The resultant shock wave from this weapon is potentially deadly due to the size of the payloads (5000 Mt in total); use near allied installations or allied ship groupings is strongly discouraged by the associates of Klonor. Most effective when used in preemptive defensive strike against non-military installations.
