An economically strong, very militant nation in the Lesser Antilles, Korrennia was originally a neighbour and protectorate to The East Asian Conglomerate of Kryst Tor. The Korrennian Cabinet then became aware of the Lesser Antilles, and moved their in hopes of maintaining their rich economy and their freedom.
Government
Korrennia has two branches of government: the Executive, and the Judicial.
The Korrennian Cabinet
The Korrennian Cabinet is headed by the Prince of Korrennia, who is elected by the people in a general democratic election every six years. The Cabinet members, advising the Prince in matters of Internal Affairs and Welfare; the Economy; and War and Order; each Cabinet Minister is chosen for six years, but can resign at any time, the replacement Minister being chosen to serve until the next General Election.
The Judiciary
The Korrennian Judiciary functions as the supreme court of Korrennia. National judges are chosen by the current Prince, for a life term, and Regional and City judges are chosen by the Regional Administrator and City Mayor, respectively.
History
The Principality of Korrennia started life out as a well-situated piece of land, rich in natural resources, settled by natives. As the surrounding nations grew in size and power, Korrennia developed a very strong military, based on technological and strategic superiority. Eventually, the leadership of the nation became corrupt, and the oppressed citizens cried out to their strongest and most just neighbour, the Krysttorrian Conglomerate. Following the resulting civil war, Krysttorrian help advanced the economy to competitive levels, and the newly elected Cabinet of Korrennia, to protect their economic and militaristic power, moved to the Lesser Antilles. There they competed economically, and quickly became members of the Lesser Antilles Defense Region, and have assisted in the invasion of several pro-UN regions. Korrennia has never forgotten the corruption and horrors of the old government, and works to better the people of the regions taken under LADR control.
