Politics
The Archonic Queendom is ruled by a democratically elected council of nine archons, each of these archons is elected for their high moral standards and ability to remain impartial when facing decisions of gravity.
The Archon Council is ruled over by the supreme archon, the candidates are selected by the Queen/King and from these candidates one is selected by the people to rule over the archon council.
Finally there is the Queen or King. This person does not have absolute authority but has the power to stop acts made by the archon council and also has the power to make national changes in times of need. This individual ensures that the Krataurian people follow a clearly defined path; if national values are threatened then this person is looked to for guidance.
Intelligent, Impartiality, and Morality are all factors this person possesses as they are direct descendants of Ellevarna Kratauria, the morals taught to the future Kings and Queens are never changed as they were set by Ellevarna herself, she did this in order to ensure future leaders would have a powerful sense of dedication to the people.
The Queen/King also acts as the nation’s ambassador, as they will represent the nation to the best of their ability.
History
Overthrowing Of The Monarchy
To begin with the nation was in fact two regions, each was ruled by an iron fisted monarchy, and any government installed was of far right conservative value. The nations still used slaves, equal rights were unheard of and "Environmentalists" were burned using lakes of oil ignited by natural gas. Money ruled all and the poor grew poorer as the rich grew richer.
The respective peoples eventually grew to such frustration with the two monarchies battling over childish slander that there was a mass rebellion against the monarchy, the revolutionaries were led by Ellevarna Kratauria, a woman who's intelligence had been completely overlooked by the military due to her gender... this was to their own disadvantage.
The two monarchies were forced to combine their forces in order to even being dealing with the rebellion, they realised that they had no chance of survival on their own.
A final battle took place a grassland surrounded by mile wide mountains… a true arena with entrances at both ends, in which the fate of all would be decided, Ellevarna ordered her central column to hold off the enemy, this column was incredibly dense so nobody stood a chance of breaking through, the flanks were being defended by heavily clad knights... behind all this mobile stockades were dragged into place by countless horses, once these were in place and the columns were buried firmly in the ground, Ellevarna ordered her troops to retreat behind the wall, from here her archers used long bows to rain down a sky of arrows on her enemy… Ellevarna herself expected to lose with such a pathetic tactic but the fact she won reinforced the reason why she started… idiotic leadership.
After several hours the enemy tried to trick Ellevarna by using her very morality against her, the King of the time rode forward holding a flag of truce. Ellevarna rode out to meet him holding the flag of the people; unbeknownst to her the paper with a treaty written on was poisoned. However Ellevarna didn't ever accept it, she was so filled with rage for all the people's suffering she stabbed the flag pole straight through the present King, thus winning the war.
The National Reformation and the Founding Acts of New Kratauria
Her first action of office was to create a morality class, from birth all children would be taught the morals of the state, these morals were agreed by the people: they eliminated anger and encouraged camaraderie, charity, justice and care for ones environment. Her second action was to create a democratic state ruled by a council of nine archons; these archons would be selected for their impartiality in all decision and their high level of morality. Ellevarna was elected as supreme Archon instantly, the chief of this council. Her third action was to make all people equal whether male or female, whether of one skin colour or another.
After several years of leadership the common freedoms were agreed by the entire nation, and the statue of Ellevarna Kratauria was built to serve as a reminder to the nations values, this statue had the people held in one hand and the world in another. They were both held high above her head showing equal worth.
The penultimate act was to abolish religion and replace it with morality as this would prevent any conflicts between varying beliefs and would ensure that conjecture did not exist, science must prove the existence of something in Krataurian law or create thoroughly explored theories which are in correlation with other data.
The final change was to establish the environmental care act, the thought behind this was that “there’s only one planet so why damage it, we have a few billion years before The Sun becomes a red giant so we don’t need to rush scientific progress.” It was finally decided that if the benefit to the race outweighed the damage to the environment then it would be taken, this was also true if the environment could be easily repaired in less than three months. If the damage to the environment was too great the action would not be taken. Having said this, the Krataurian people are exceptionally bright people so were only hampered slightly by the ECA, where scientific progress was concerned.
The Krataurian "Queens" and "Kings": A Democratially Appointed Family Line
Eventually Ellevarna Kratauria was married and had a single child; this child became as moral as her, with impartial judgement in all situations. The people decided that as a mark of respect for what Ellevarna had done they would make her child an acting “Queen” (or “King” in the future), this queen did not have the power to make single-handed changes but she was given the power to stop an act if it was not in accordance with the basic laws and a further requirement was that she be consulted on every action the nation took. The Queen would also act as national representative, dubbed as the perfect liaison for the nation due to the high regard she held the nations values with.
Before dying somebody asked Ellevarna what they would look to when she had gone, her reply was: “An It Harm None, Do As Ye Will”… “None” applying to any creature.
This system has guided the people along the right path without straying for many generations, stopping many disasters and preventing many wars, the morals of the Supreme Archon/ Queen have always helped to give insight to the people. The present “queen” is Amy-Marie Kratauria who is still as moral and intelligent as Ellevarna. The nation is ahead of others in certain fields, such as energy forms, they have perfected Zero-Point Energy, a completely clean yet powerful energy form, other than this they are on parallel with the modern day world but with greater use of wireless technology to prevent damage to the environment.
The official spoken language of Kratauria is a derivative of Latin. However, the written form may be structured the same way as Latin but it is in fact in a completely different alphabet, each letter has an “Art Nouveau” style to it, it looks somewhat organic and was decided by the Archonistry of Languages who were charged with creating a universal language by King Davidii after the education disagreements reached breaking point as the archonistries began to form opposition to each other over which of the nations many languages should take priority in schools.
