The LVCIFER system is an orbital weapons systems that was designed and constructed by the Nova Roman company of NovaTech for the defense of Nova Roma.

It works on the principle of multiplying the power of a chemical laser by channelling it through an array of nanite crystals. The magnified power to the beam allowed it to pierce the atmosphere without being significantly diminished. The system was capable of vaporizing several square miles of land within twenty minutes leaving no survivors.

The weapon was proven to be extremely effective during the South Cove Incident, the glassing of Tachbe, and the war between Nova Roma and Lamoni.

Poor maintenance and calibration lead to the burn-up of the weapons system in the atmosphere as its orbit had been decaying for several years.
