The Dictatorship of Machievelinium is a small, devout nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 7 million are free to succeed or fail in life on their own merits; the successful tend to enjoy an opulent (but moralistic) lifestyle, while the failures can be seen crowding out most jails.
The tiny, moralistic government juggles the competing demands of Religion & Spirituality, Law & Order, and Commerce. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 2%. A large private sector is led by the Woodchip Exports industry, followed by Retail and Basket Weaving.
Elections have been outlawed and organ donation is compulsory. Crime is a problem. Machievelinium's national animal is the Blue Frog, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the BFSHOUE.
The dictator for life of Machievelinium is Supreme Commander Richard Anderson, known by his fellow World Leaders as Dave or Mr. Chairman. His goal is to make the nation of Machievelinium the leading power in the UN, with the hope of reforming the organisation.
