Marquish has a population of over three hundred and seventy million (370,000,000) as of September 2006. The population reflects many diverse backgrounds, races, nationalities and beliefs. The majority of the population lives in Marquish’s five major cities (the Nation’s capital, and capitals of the four administrative districts) The rest of the population live in nations main agricultural communities, and a small number of people live in small towns in the mountains region in the center of the country.
Marquish is known as a very socially liberal place. All people have equal rights, and homosexuality is not considered out of the ordinary at all (In fact, Logan Kay was appointed Supreme Chancellor even though he is openly gay).
