The Menelmacari Credit is the official currency of Menelmacar and its dependencies and is also used in several other countries such as Thelas or the Taraskovyan Fiefdom of Svarog. Other leading nations have adopted it as a standard for trade (comperable to the RL US Dollar). Other nations, however, refuse to accept the credit entirely for political reasons.
The M€ was the official trading currency of the World Business Organization and it will likely also be used as the standard currency of comparison for VERITAS as it is considered to be an extremely stable currency: even though it is technically free-float it has historically proven to remain within a rather predictable bandwith. This is explained by some by the fact that the Menelmacari Economy is geared towards long-term investments due to its Elvish inhabitants being clinically immortal.
A Menelmacari Credit is divided into one thousand millicredits; symbol €. M€1 = ~US$2.20.
