Mental Sparrows

The nation of Mental Sparrows was born from a group of settlers who took an enormous liking to sparrow bird population on a remote island. They had never seen them before, and their cuteness overpowered them. Outsiders see the Mental Sparrows as a rather crazy bunch of people, and thus call them Mental Sparrows. However, Mental Sparrows themselves also use this name. They think the sparrows have some sort of magical mental power as well as being the guardians of the land. They feel that the sparrows collectively talk to them and help them make decisions. Outsiders find this absolutely bizarre and just like to leave them all alone.
