Overview

  • The Ceann-Cinnidh of Mothalsi is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, remarkable for its devotion to social welfare. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 1.27 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.
  • It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Welfare, and the Environment. The average income tax rate is 77%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising fourteen-year-old boys selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.,
  • The arms industry has been shut down in a surge of pacifism, space research funding has hit a recent high while several military bases are being closed down, the Tiger is protected from hunting and slowly coming back from the brink of extinction, and the tenet of free speech is held dear. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is a serious problem. Mothalsi's national animal is the Tiger, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Groat.

Isle of Lewis

Poem regarding the Island

"This Island of Lewis,
Surrounded by sea,
Is unique in it’s lifestyle,
Just as it should be.

But the good folk of Lewis,
Surrounded are too,
By extremists of viewpoints,
Tho’, thankfully, few.

There are cynics on the one hand,
Who denounce all Christian views,
And, ‘Righteous’ men, who All condemn,
Scandal is their news.

So let’s unite, All Lewis folk,
Both ‘Pagan’ and ‘Devout’,
We’ll make this Isle a better place,
Of That there is no doubt.
"
