THE FOUNDATION OF NECROVIANA
In 2003, a large group of Quebecois and Russians went to find themselves a new home, in the ancient region of Roflcake. The leader of this pack, a russo-quebecois by the name of Viktor Necrontyr, founded the city of Necrograd on an island in the junction of three rivers. The Svir, the Lodn and the Dniastir. The city-state expanded on a large but fertile territory. It united the Steppe landscape of the south, the Tundra of the north, the temperate climate of the west and east, but also the Nilgovian Desert in the Far-east. Temperatures in the desert go from -60c in the winter to 45c in the summer.
THE SHORT-LIVED DEMOCRACY
After a relatively calm period of peace, liberal-anarchist elements in Necroviana wanted to further reduce the power of the then republican government. The persons in those groups where mainly immigrants who arrived after the foundation. A strong voice of protest rose from the traditional Necrovians, who also complained the immigrants caused increased crime and introduced decadent gangster-like culture in Necroviana. But these groups found help in foreign capitalist nations, and gained considerable power.
The citizens of Necroviana, outraged with the corruption of the democratic system, went out to raid the few arsenals of the Defense Forces and to plead their support to Vikor Necrontyr, who had retreated from politics years earlier. The Revolutionnary forces ousted the government and established a socialist dictatorship. One of the first plans of this new totalitarism was to deport all the non-native immigrants to their respective countries of origin. Altought some protested, they where briskly silenced by the Necrovian Secret Police, later to be the Necrovian State Security Bureau.
THE RED DAWN
After the revolution and the execution of the old, corrupt politicians caste, the Government was organized. The Necrovian Supreme Assembly, chose a leader from the country's many thousands of candidates throught many electoral tours. The first leader to be elected was Yuri Fyderov, a proeminant economist. He was instrumental in Industrialising Necroviana and instated the nationalisation of all major industries. His grand programs helped Necrovia become a large Regional Power.
