New Bruxen
New Bruxen came into the QFL in 1895, part of the 2nd wave of expansion. The team has seen some success, winning the Qazox Cup in its second season, and promotion into Division Une twice. However, the team is part of the two of the most infamous acts in the QFL's history.
On August 8th, 1905 Herman Georr of Cuex City, during halftime of the New Bruxen-Cuex City match in Cuex City, shot and killed Kevin Sadi of New Bruxen, after Georr was attacked by Sadi in the 1st half of the match. Both men were promptly red-carded, but during halftime, Georr went to his vehicle grabbed his gun and entered the New Bruxen locker room. He promptly shot Sadi who died instantly, and wounded 2 other New Bruxen players. Georr then turned the gun on himself and committed suicide. The match was declared a draw, and both teams decided to suspend operations for the final 2 games of the season. This unfortunate incident, has marred the QFL over the last few seasons and caused matches between New Bruxen and Cuex City to be played in a neutral site until further league notice. Starting in 1913, the league will allow New Bruxen and Cuex City to play each other in their own stadiums.
New Bruxen in 1912 became a focal point in a Match-fixing scandal that included Gothika, the Qazox National Team, Bostopia and other countries. The QFL has for the 1913 season suspended both Gothika and New Bruxen, and will deduct 20 points from their 1914 seasons, and 10 points from their 1915 seasons. Due to the 5-year layoff, the 10 point penalty that was to be applied in the 1915 season has been dropped.
The Team plays its home matches at Tersa Gold Stadium, which has a capacity of 62,045, but is usually not filled. The main rival of New Bruxen is Las Vitas. In 1920, the first season back after the 5-year layoff, the team won its first Championship, defeating FC Fromburg in the final.
