Politics
There are two main parties in New Sequoyah: the Conservative Party, and the Liberal Party. There are several smaller political parties; however, none of these play an important role in New Sequoyah's politics.

The Senate is the upper house of Congress in New Sequoyah. There are 50 seats in the Senate. The Conservative Party holds 72% of the Senate seats, with the remaining 28% of seats being held by the Liberal Party.
The House of Representatives
The House of Representatives is the lower house of Congress in New Sequoyah. There are 100 seats in the House. The Conservative Party has 68% of the House seats. The Liberal Party holds the remaining 32% of seats.
New Sequoyah and the United Nations
New Sequoyah joined the United Nations shortly after becoming an independent nation. This growing country has already taken an active stance in the UN, having already debated for the "Spelling Alphabet and ID Codes" bill and against the "UNID Card Act".
Their UN ambassador is Lieutenant General John Brown Gordon (Retired).
