The Nation

The Monarchy of Niall Noiglach is a nation based on the old ruling family of Ireland, The O'Neill Clan. Named for the founder of the clan, It currently resides on the continent of Irathria.

The Church

[2]An Irish Catholic Church Niall Noiglach has a special relationship with member of the Roman Catholic Church. During the Exodus, many of the ships would have sailed off had it not been for the priests. As such, when they asked for total and complete control of Healtcare, Education, and Social Welfare, they where bargained down, but still given control ohf them. The Irish Catholic Church, as it has come to be known, is now the main body that looks over these issues, with the High King making suggestions, but having no real say.

The Irish Catholic Church has preserved many of the rituals that supported them on their travells, including the blessing of the water, and the devotion to St. Luthien, who many claim to have singlehandedly talked down a riot on the prison ship Retribution.

The Government

[3] The New Parliment Building [4] The Imperial Palace The Government of the nation is essentially a dictatorship by the head of the Royal Family, though the board of Regents, a group of experts in various fields, does have the King's ears. Also, each individual city has there own bodies of representation, which will send their people's complaints to the king, who required that the constitution demand that future kings hear the pleads of their people. There is a special branch of police whose sole job is to enforce said constitution, which operate independently of the government.

Law Enforcement

With the exception of the Secret Police, most Law Enforcement is overseen by a formal government branch.

The ports are looked over by the Coastal Enforcement Agency

The cities are looked over by local Precincts

And Nation wide, the National Security and Law Enforcement Agency, enforces the laws.

All police officers are equipped to be able to enter a hazardous situation, and neutralize it. As such, they are usually armed with an SMG (FN P90), a shotgun (Mossberg 500), and a Service Pistol (M1911)

The Niall Noiglach Economy is based around Computer Electronics, Furniture Manufacture, Food Packaging, Agriculture, Blacksmithing, Carpentry, Shipwrights,

The Fisheries raise Halibut, Salmon, Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Trout, and many other fish from across the Galaxy. The average annual output of the fisheries is 50 million tons.

Another form of Aquaculture is the Rice paddies. Farmed in the traditional Japanese way, the paddies usually provide 200 million tons of Rice and 10 million tons of Carp

History

The Monarchy of Niall Noiglatch was originally an organization of O'Neills in America, who resented the British occupation of their land. While many joined the IRA, others stayed home, providing a front to provide money and arms for their brothers back home. The most remarkable thing about this unit was that

1. ) They Never attacked Civilians
2. ) The vast majority where armed with Recurve Longows

As they fought, they refused to turn their prisoners over to the rest of the IRA, and instead sent them off to another location, the modified bulk hauler Retribution. When the O'Neill's left after the war, they looked at the United States and knew that they would not be welcomed there.

Instead, they took their modified vessels, and sailed off, becoming seafaring nomads. They spent two genrations at sea, one in their home universe, and one in the universe that they currently inhabit.

During that time, a young Priest rose to prominince, St. Luthien of Seafarer. St. Lucien grew popular after he singlehandedly talked down the first, second, and third Retribution Riots. The third one however, resulted in him being martyrd by Wolf, the leader of a growing, Cristian Identity, Neo-Nazi organisation that called them selves WASP.

During the time that the Third Generation was being started, The House O'Neill Fleet arrived in Irathria, taking up land in the Southern half of the continent.

There, they established their kingdom, and spen a generation during which they faced a civil war between the Government, the Communist Workers Army, and WASP.

eventually putting down the trouble makers, they turned to the stars, where they made a chance encounter with the TAP Corellian Corvette, The Liberator.

During that encounter, Niall Noiglach was able to negotiate many agreements, including the trade of Synthetic Diamonds and Terraforming materials for transportation to a Planet in the Tortuga system.

Once there, the people began to re-settle. This time they believed it would bne the last time. Though they have had problems with moving so quickly up from a PL5 to PL7 enviroment, the newest generation is already adapting quickly.
