The Empire of Nightsider was founded by Asianjoykiller and is a member of the 1up region. In fact, there is a folk tale of how Nightsider was founded. Legend has it that AJK was kicked out of a jet, mid-flight, and was saved when he fell upon what is now Nightsider. The amazing part was, that this land was, at the time, being transported via military choppers who had lost thier way. Many believe this is also the reason why their leader seems to have a few loose cogs in his head.
The Empire of Nightsider has made little progress aside from decimating its land, expanding its population and maintaining a strong cheese exporting industry. It is common for Nightsiderians to know less about current events in their own country, than foreigners are, as the the Nightsider news is made up during broadcasting.
