Orasul Mavcra

Orasul Mavcra is a Xiryan militarian and social activist.

Early Life

Mavcra was born in the town of J'acra in 2070. He was a Combrage, a national race native to Xirya. In the section of J'acra wher he lived, many residents opposed the Empire and the Kiavian settlers. From his earliest days, he was told stories that portrayed the Cosciv Xiryans as cruel, slave-driving, narrow minded barbarians. Curious, he studied the Cosciv race and it's history. He found that Kiravians were cultured, intelligent, advanced, and compassionate. Mavcra continued his self-education into arts and sciences that Kiravians valued. However, he made a grave mistake. He was caught reading a book on Genetic Engineering, considered sacrilage by the Combrage. He was exiled from J'acra. As he was pushed out of the gates, a neighbour yelled, "Go join your white-blooded Kiravian friends, eh!". This is exactly what he did. He made his way to the city of Ibèr, and found a job as a typesetter in a print shop. In his idle time, he studied Coscivian writing systems and typography at a college in Xevron. While there, a government official saw him copying the alphanumarics of the Imperial System of Measures, and employed him as a translator for issuing government information to the Combrage and other native Xiryans. Th new occupation paid a good salary, and he was able to buy a home in the town of Wrinch outside Xevron. The town was occupied by many natives who had taken up the Cosciv way of life. He spent the next two years translating governmental orders, lists, laws, and decrees to be issued to his people. During the Belfastian War, he joined the military as a tank gunner, and helped defend Luxcastrum from the Blades of Conquest. He worked his way through the ranks, and after the war, became a military official. He oversaw the forts and outposts along the Amaratsu border, before being reassigned to work a desk job in Xevron.

Later Career

After his tenure as Officer of Troop Management in Xevron, Mavcra deactivated his commission and returned to Wrinch. He married and had a family there. While travelling back to Wrinch from Green Bank, he stopped in J'acra for fuel. The standard of living in his hometown had deteriorated. His home was now a boarding house, and the walls were now waste disposal facilities. Gangs prowled the streets and garbage was strewn about. When he returned to Xevron, he began to campaign for the government to give more aid to the native Xiryans. THis played a major part in his later career, and was met with success. After helping in the conquest of Candálóba, he was promoted to General, and given command of the Provincial Forces. After 3 months in this office, The Empire recognized his cause for equality and granted native Xiryans citizenship. The Service stationed him in Kartika as overseer of the new Department of Native Affairs. He retains his general's commission, and oversees his army from Kartika.
