Ottokar "Otto" Jaarinen (b. December 2, 1986) is the only son of Paulus Jaarinen, former President of Nimzonia

Early life

Otto was born in the presidential palace in Koenberg, former capital of Nimzonia. Although well educated, he was not an impressive youth and was frequently a cause of embarrassment to his father. The last straw came in the summer of 2004 when he was photographed by Arctic Blue Lips, a liberal newspaper, using the wrong cutlery at an ambassadorial reception. This event was then referenced in propaganda produced by Man Jayen and MadderMike. Although the response of the Nimzonian Ministry of Information, "Otto Jaarinen! He's not as bad as Kruschev!" became a catchy slogan in the arctic, General Jaarinen had decided it was time to make a man of his son and heir. He had him enlisted in the army and sent off to boot camp in Lake Erie.

Military Career

Shortly after his arrival in Lake Erie, Otto was involved in the Huron Canals War. His company was involved in a skirmish with Clydebank Shipyards troops, and he was promoted to 2nd Lieutenant. In the same week, his father was assassinated in Koenberg while attending the Arctic Carnivl. On his return to LETIreijk he was injured in a related assassination attempt, organised by Emmanuel Helstag. Fortunately, Nimzonian intelligence agents were able to rescue him and take him back to Nimzonia, where he took the title of Marshall and led the rebel faction in the Nimzonian Civil War.

Disappearance

Since the conclusion of the war in 2005, there have been many unconfirmed sightings of Otto Jaarinen. His current whereabouts, and whether or not he even survived the civil war, remain unknown.
