When the nations of the PEEL region began to outgrow their borders, several countries took it upon themselves to find new ways to house their population. PR Zedoljev, a small country with a large population, sent out a few teams of explorers to chart claims of nearby landmasses with little or no indigenous inhabitants. What they found were plentiful lands and a chance to make a fresh start. Soon many PEEL nations' colonists were flocking to the new islands, and the PEEL Colonial Territories was born.

- New Cyberian Territory - The Greater Cyberian Colony of New Cyberian Territory - The Greater Cyberian Union's presence in the region, the New Cyberian Territory was the first colony to be granted independence from its mother-state (New Cyberia). It did so while maintaining excellent relations with that state and its fellow colonies. Ironically, the New Cyberian Territory is a source of some controversy in the current GCU administration, as numerous attempts to transfer power from the local government to the Primarium in Reeding have been resisted by the inhabitants. This, coupled with its extremely cordial relations with the neighbouring Novyi Zedoljev make the New Cyberian Territory somewhat of an oddity within the GCU (although it should be stressed that relations between the NCT and New Cyberia, in so far as they do not touch upon issues of sovereignty, remain brotherly).
