History

In 1994 the Lenita Wildcats extreme soccer franchise was formed in conjunction with the other five teams of the Extreme Soccer League.

The team since the onset of their existence focus more on 'crashing' the net and trying to propel any loose balls into it. The most noteable achievements of the Peace Vultures includes:

  • In 1995, during the inaugural year of the league, the Vultures were able to defeat the Camelot Scorpions in the city of Peace with sheer determination to capture the first ever ESL championship with a 5-3 victory.
  • In 1999 the Vultures and the Viscount Bennett Maulers combined for a record setting final contributing to 106 hits on each other. When the bodies cleared, it was Vultures veteran goon, Jonathan Peterson setting up Patrick Riley who scored the winner with less then 1 minute left as the Vultures won their 2nd championship with a 6-5 victory during the biggest slugfest the ESL had seen as of yet in a final.
  • In 2004, the Vultures beat the hometown favourite Victory Union Cowboys 5-3 in one of the less entertaining matches in ESL history. Both teams combined for 16 total shots as torrential rain, unusual for the area during any season, turned the field in Victory Union into a virtual swamp.
