Penningworth contains the largest Naval Base in all of Starblaydia, its natural harbour surroundings providing the perfect setting for a high-class Military institution.
'Originally', Penningworth was independent of Starblaydia, counting itself as a City-State and seeking to join up with the six City-States of Nova Britannicus. However, public pressure within Penningworth itself led to it and its surrounding territory being enveloped into Starblaydia.
The city's football team, Penningworth United, once provided the Starblaydi National Team's front-pair, in Nikola Lazerevski and David Bentley for World Cup 15. Alas, though, the 'Pennies' have slipped from grace, becoming the first team to begin life in the Alpha Division and wind up in the doldrums of the Gamma Division.
