Demands for Constitution
In early October, 2005, the government violently repressed demonstrations infavour of making Heklocharis a constitutional monarchy, leading to a public outcry. By the beginning of November, Peter was ailing, and his son, Prince Imperial Peter used this as an excuse for putting the constitution on hold. He stated:

In late November, after Peter had been admited to a hospital, a mob stormed the Imperial Palace, and forced the Prince Imperial to sign a doccument garunteeing free elections when he ascended the throne. After lingering for seven months, he died on 1 May, 2006.
