Early Years
His Royal Highness was born 100 Mahlberg Court, the only Tormalin Royal to have been born outside of a palace. However, this does not mean that he was not raised as a Prince - indeed, the saying goes 'he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth' - the Prince would have been born with a whole drawer! He never knew his father, as he was born just eight months after the so-called Split Incident. He was educated by a Governess, with emphasis on how to support his sisters in their role as Hereditary- and Grand Duchess of Toremal. He was also brought up to expect an arranged marriage, which never happened - at this present moment, none of the Tormalin Royal Family are married. Hereditary Grand Duchess Alexandra was married (and was given away by her brother Alexander) for only six months - her husband died tragically of cancer.
As Chancellor of the Realm
As chancellor of the realm, Prince Alexander is the only member of Royalty who can both vote and sit in the Upper Chamber - this means that he is the political conduit for the Royal Family. He attends most sittings of the Chambers, or Parliament of Torem Province , but is not allowed to sit in on the Great and Good Council, who are the Central government.
As Prince of Toremal
His Royal Highness once summed up his role as Prince; "I sit around doing precisley nothing except wearing expensive money and costing the taxpayer." This is mostly true. But he has, on occassion actually handed out the Toremal 100 Most Influential People Prize.
