(former-)Prussiatopia was founded in late April 2005, but died in June 2006; unjustly at the hands of very zeal-minded moderators. It resides in Arctic, and he was the founder of the Polar Union organisation, one of the first members of UNEAQ. CIPS is the successor state, but is economically much weaker. It is questionable as to whether Prussiatopia can recover its former glory.

Prussiatopia was one of the new independent states that had emerged when Zimbergia had dissolved. The several other independent states that had emerged are, at present, dead. When Prussiatopia became independent, it resided in Russia, but Russia was becoming overcrouded and Prussiatopia found needed new land to conquer. It was thus that their people travelled to Greenland accross the Arctician Sea about 450 NS Years ago, and took over the entire line of Greenlandic settlements. Prussiatopia consisted of the entire Greenland Landmass, plus the Canadian island 'Baffin'.

Prussiatopia's Economy had greatly boomed in the past several decades. The free market made up for about 1/3rd of the economy (compared to nearly nothing over half an NS century ago), or $33 Trillion of the GDP (as of June 2006). Income per person had also dramatically increased, and tax-revenues that came into the government were around the same as they were half an NS century previously, because the economic growth had compensated for losses through the free market. Prussiatopia had the highest Healthcare and Educational funding per person in the Arctic before collapse. Now it has one of the most underdeveloped systems in the new 'CIPS' state.

Ethnic Composition

The majority of the Prussiatopian population were white at the time of collapse, with 90% being European or North American white. Less than 1% were Greenlandic, and about 8% of the population are of Eastern European or Russian ethnisity.

Education

The Educational system of Prussiatopia is very well funded, and is organised by a framework set in 4 stages. Detials are below.

Structure/Framework of Educational System

Primary Education
Ages: 4 - 11.
Primary Education introduces 5 basic subjects to the corriculum, Maths, English, PE, ICT, and Science. There is a lot of provision made for Dyslexic and Autistic pupils, to make sure the Dyslexics are counted in the Literacy census, and Autistic's Abilities are not ignored. They have to take an exam at about 10 years of age, called 'PSED' (Prussiatopian Secondary-Education Determiner), it determines what they're destined for in future education. If they score above 50%, they will go to a Standard Secondary Establishment (SSE), if they score above 80% in any subject, that subject will be tooken into concideration, and they are eligable to go to a Subject-Specific College (SSC), while also learning English/Math at their own individual level. If they score above 80% in most/all subjects, they will go to an Above-Standard Secondary Educational Institution (ASSEI). In the last census, about 1:3 pupils managed to get into a SSC/ASSEI after getting the required results in tests.

Secondary Education/Early Tertiary
Ages: 12 - 18 (in rare cases, an extra year if they wish to resit their FHE/FD exam).
Even though they will get the oppurtunity to go to different Establishments beyond Primary, their coursework and examinations will all be the same and standardised. ASSEI studets also get to sit their FHE course and exam early. FHE stands for Foundation Higher Education, it is equivalent to English AS-Level/Scottish Higher. FD stands for Foundation Degree, equivelent to Scottish Advanced-Higher/English A2 (Complete A-Level). Examinations come in 4 different levels, and in the lower of the three, two sub-levels.

PHEC (Prussiatopian High-School Education Certificate)

"Uni-Bound" (the upper of the two sub-levels)

Grade Min. Requirement for
A Entry into an FD programme without an FHE "D" Grade initially.
B Entry into FHE Physics and Mathematics.
C Entry into every other FHE Course.
D In exceptional cases, will be accepted for FHE Chemistry and Geography. Otherwise, a Failure for Uni-Bound (but good for Elsewhere Bound)

"Elsewhere-Bound"

Grade Min. Requirement for
DE Uni-Bound resits (the resit course for normal Uni-Bound failures, extended for these students)
E Most near-average income jobs (to do with labour work) require E's in 5 Subjects.
F Pass
F0 Fail

UBREB (Uni-Bound Resits for Elsewhere Bound's)

This was set up a few NS decades ago to encourage lower attaining students to continue with Post-16 Education

Grade Min. Requirement for
A Entry into Some Universities.
B Entry into Some FD Programmes.
C Entry into FHE course.
D Absolute minimum pass.
E0 Fail.

FHE (Foundation Higher Education)

Students who enter this are normally either in an ASSEI school and are doing it at the same time SSE students do their PHEC's, or are SSE students who've done their PHEC's (and got above a C/D) wanting to go further.

Grade Min. Requirement for
A Entry into Most Universities.
B Entry into Some Universities, and into a good FD programme (like Physics).
C Entry into Poorly Performing Universities, and into most FD programme's.
D Absolute minimum for entry into any FD programme. No Uni's accept this yet. Pass.
E0 Fail.

FD (Foundation Degree)

Basically anybody who got a D, or in more common cases, C's, in FHE's and want to move on. If you do well in this, you can skip the 1st year of Uni.

Grade Min. Requirement for
A In exceptional cases, can get you into a Bachelors/Honors programme.
B Guaranteed Entry into All Universities.
C Entry into most Degree Programmes.
D Entry into few Degree Programmes. Pass.
E0 Fail (counts as Grade C FHE Pass)
