History

The Quaonese Empire was founded in AD 501, by Chiom and Shilom Quaon, two former Roman Soldiers searching for a place that they could home, away from the rest of the world were they could rule themselves. They found a large patch of land in what is now known as South America, and settled there. They went back to (the collasped) Rome, and brought their family and anyone who wanted to go back to the newly named "Quaon." Here they settled. For about 2 years, the Quaonions settled disputes by using male governed democracy, meaning that women had no say in things. After these 2 years, the women rebelled, demanding the right to vote as the males did. Chiom and Shilom allowed them to without fighting, and thus Quaon became one of the first nations to give women equal rights to men.

20 years after Quaon's founding, the Quanions were invaded by the Babarian Tribes of Zolony. After years of combat, Chiom sacrificed his life to drive back the Zolons. Years later the Chiom Sword would become a gift along with an honorary title of nobility to those who helped the Empire of Quaon. 400 years after the Zolony incident, freedom of religon was put into effect. By now, there was almost 350 million citzens of Quaon, and many of them disliked the idea of being forced to worship Jesus Christ. A few years after this event, Zolony returned as a nation in it's own right. It attacked Quaon again, but was met with a fierce Quaonese response. The two nation's armies fought to a stand still, neither claiming the upper hand. Eventually both sides retreated from the battlefield. The Quaon/Zolony war was now mainly fought by small groups of armed raiders or spies. By the year 1,000 the war was all but over, and finally in 1,009 a peace treaty was signed.

Later, after almost 950 years of peace, Quaon came into conflict with Zolony again. The war had almost over 300 million casualties on both sides. On November 10th, 1961, a peace treaty was signed.

Democracy

Quaon is based on the princepal of democracy and freedom for all. As such, leaders are elected. The current Prime Minister is Quin Orbor.
