This article is about the city. For Imperatrix Fredrika Quarrovth I's article, see Fredrika I. For the Great House, see Great House Quarrovth.

Quarrovth is the current capital of Myroria. It is also the home of Imperitrix Fredrika I. The city bears her surname as its name. Quarrovth was founded in Myrorian Common Era 1606 (2006) after the original capital, Guyrith, was destroyed by a carpet bombing to kill a traitor. The Imperatrix commissioned the city to show that Myroria would recover.

History

Quarrovth began as a small town and accompanying palace for Fredrika I, but, when a traitor to Myroria started a revolution based in Guyrith, the capital at that time, and took over factories and storehouses all over the city, Fredrika saw that tactical strikes would be too expensive and open to errors, so she evacuated the city and ordered a carpet bombing. The revolution was quelled, but at the expense of the city. This left many homeless, and to both show the world that Myroria would recover from this, and to give homes to these people, she ordered the construction of Quarrovth, and for it to be built in four quarters, the Civic Quarter, Foreign Quarter, Housing Quarter, and the Imperial Quarter.

Areas of Quarrovth

The Civic Quarter

The Civic Quarter is the second-smallest quarter of Quarrovth. Here most of the public buildings in Myroria are located, including the public baths, theaters, and restaurants. Crime is the highest here because of the large concentrations of people, so police numbers are highest in the Civic Quarter.

The Foreign Quarter

The Foreign Quarter came about as a result of Myroria's famous xenophobia. This is the largest quarter, because it is basically a Quarrovth in one quarter. The quarter is largely hotels, because immigrants to Myroria generally don't remain in The Foreign Quarter because of their new status of Imperial subjects.

The Housing Quarter

The Housing Quarter is the second largest quarter of Quarrovth. As the name suggests, this quarter houses the population. The houses are built in the Georgian style, and are mostly made of brick. The few modern houses stick out, and these are generally looked on as "disturbing Myrorian culture and experience".

The Imperial Quarter

The smallest and grandest part of Quarrovth, The Imperial Quarter is home to the Imperatrix and Imperator's Palace, along with the mansions of aristocrats and governmental chancellors. The epitomy of Myrorian grandness and flamboyancy, the Imperial Quarter is filled with flowing gardens, cobblestone streets, and the most exquisite stores in Myroria, and perhaps in all of Vorlon. Cars are not allowed in this quarter, unlike the others where roads are split into paved and cobblestone roads for horses and cars.

Food and Drink

Myroria is famous for her gourmet seafood, and tourists come from all around to sample Myrorian Haddock. Also popular is our Sachertorte, an dessert cake with apricot filling. Beer is also highly prised in Myroria because of our German and Bavarian heritage. Beer in Myroria is a common sight on any menu.
