Griefing is defined as playing the game simply for the purposes of causing grief to others. It is also a term commonly, and more specifically, used to describe the practice of a non-Founder illegally ejecting too many members of a region, or otherwise violating the rules of invasions. One slightly less-known about use for the term "griefing" is if a delegate ejects too many nations for the purpose of refounding the region.

Past Examples of Griefing

  • Massive complaints arose on the forums during a case involving Hogsweat being deleted for griefing. Hogsweat apparently did not understand the rules and ejected too many nations during a refounding.
  • Another example was during the first Empire Earth invasion of Pink Floyd where [[Gwynnedd], a puppet of Land of Lusitans, was deleted for not giving the password out to all of the natives. Gwynnedd's supporters tried to say that since many members of Pink Floyd had moved to The Floydian States voluntarily, they no longer qualified as natives. The moderators said no, that Gwynnedd was deleted and would stay deleted.
  • Shortly after the previous example, The Imperial Race was deleted for ejecting too many members of Pink Floyd when trying to refound.
