Revillo is one of the smaller nations in the region of Revelation, which like the rest of the nations in Revelation is isolated from the rest of the world by vast stretches of sea.
The island of Revillo is thought to be many thousands of years old, and traces of human remains suggest that the island has been inhabbited for over two thousand years.
Despite the relative age and rich history of Revillo, the seperate tribes only combined to form a unified nation around two hundred years ago, when the nation of Revillo was officially formed.
The forming of a single nation arose through the conquering of weaker tribes by stronger tribes, which has led to a system of dictatorship ever since Revillo became a nation.
Revillo has always been a very private and self-contained nation that dislikes outside inolvement, and really only ever considers conducting trade negotiations with its fellow members of Revelation.
The dictatorship style of leadership has more recently evolved into a corporate police state, which encourages a certain amount of corruption from its leaders, yet provides positive and definate direction to all citizens, who traditionally have very few rights.
As a trade off for poor political freedoms and social welfare, the succesive governments have always been keen on promoting greater personal wealth through their economic policies.
The most notable date in Revillo is Execution Day, (1st March) when the first leader and bloodthirsty tyrannt Anthony George was executed for his crimes, and more importantly to make way for his son Gordon.
