The Founding
The Empire of Romanni Nova is not very old, but has already developed an interesting history. Founded in the year 1616 after some Milanese and Portuguese found a strange land(that was already occupied by Spoonmenistan, Mattalatastan, Kirastor and Guahawan and Forkania). They tried to return to Milan and Portugal but they where stranded and with no hope of returning to their homeland, they decided to colonise the area.
History
The Portugese wished to claim it in the name of Portugal but the Italians wanted it for themselves. In a quick war to control the area the Milanese unexpectedly attacked the main Portugese army at the battle of the Corin river(the title given to it by the natives). Led by the Italian leader Giovanii they won the bloody battle causing the survivng Portugese to surrended quickly. Giovanii changed his name to Nero and became the Imperator(Emporor).
It was now 1619 and The Empire of Romanni Nova was just begining. Nero didn't do much to the benefit of Romanii Nova but he did expand the Empire further East. After he died his nephew Germanicus took the throne. He's still said to have been the best Emperor. He built the great coliseum, Founded the port of Ostia Nova, Expanded the Empire further East and tried to take over the southen areas of the continent but came into contact with the new nation of Tiger-Leopard. After several minor skirmishs the two nations ceasefired before their nations where consumed by war.
After Germanicus's death, Drusus, his son took over but he didn't do anything famous. Oppius, his youngest son took over - his Mother had altered with the will because his other 7 children came from his concubines. The harrowing trials of leadership brought with it insanity to Oppius, and this was known by all after he claimed he could swim across the Mactopian sea in five minutes. Evetually his daughter Claudia killed him and gave the wreath to her brother, Amulus. He didn't do much a part from founding Ravenna Nova allowing passage into the East, which was almost impossible beforehand. The various bandit clans that had made travelling so hard had where force to retreat into the hills.
After his death the Empire went into civil war for 24 years, betweem several heirs to the throne. Eventually it was Tiberius Caesar who was victorious and became the current Emperor. In his reign the country has discovered how to clone people, animals and even revived the extinct creatures of this land.
