In 2001, the Island of Atlantis rose from the depths of the ocean. Swiftly and assuredly, the United Nations laid claim to the island, and quickly sent a team of explorers and researchers to the island. In 2003 the island was proclaimed to perfectly safe, and decided to auction it off to the highest bidding college. In 2004, Dr. Danny Akin became the President of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and decided to bid on Atlantis. Beating Universities such as Harvard, Princeton, Duke, Vance-Granville Community College, and Oxford with his mysterious albeit incredible amount of personal cash at hand, Dr. Danny Aiken won the bid at an undisclosed price. The first thing President Akin did to thank the UN was buy Kofi Annan a Buick. After the swift transition from simple college to Nation, SEBTS became the world's most moralistic societies and changed its name to the Serene Ethical Baptist Theological States. However, dissent ensued. The majority of the populace became angered by the lack of civil rights, coercement of morality, and mandatory chapel attendance three times a week. Eventually, one man, known only as V, decided that enough was enough. On November the 5th, 2006, V rode a train underneath Binkley Chapel, and detonated it. The tides of Revolution began to spread far and wide, and the November Revolution began. SEBTS could not control the flow and quickly sued for peace, and allowed any region within its borders to break away if the populace voted to. This way, SEBTS would not lose power altogether. Currently SEBTS is attempting to reunify its populace by preaching a strong moralism, and the need for state religion as its only way to reunify Akinland.
