Sapients Plaza is a huge pedestrian square and the heart of the trendy, commercial and entertainment Yashibu District in Anjuna (the second most populated and the most dynamic and high-tech city in Love and esterel). The plaza is overcrowded, days and nights, with the young population of Anjuna and is surrounded by a dozen of giant Quad Full HD (3840x2160) TV screens. It's located on the 7 km long KDR (Keish Deyaz Road) axis, which is now partly underground, since the plaza became pedestrian.

It's name come from the huge peaceful demonstrations which took place in 2001, in order to grant similar rights to various species sapients being other than humans (ET intelligences, Posthumans and AI) and which resulted in the adoption by the congress of the “Sapients Bill of rights” on 12 December 2001.

Nowadays, the 12 October is the "We are All Sapients" Day, a major public holiday in Love and esterel, and is celebrated every year on Sapients Plaza.

On the Saturday 20 December 2005, another huge demonstration took place, in order to support the Rights of Biological Sapients UN proposal, presented by the nation of Reformentia. Even if many demonstrators were not fully satisfied with the wording of the text (for its vagueness about sapient criteria and AI left aside), the proposal was an essential first step for them. This time the outcome was less successful for the demonstrators, but most felt a general feeling to have contributed to the advancement of this cause.

Those demonstrations, along with the celebrations on "We are All Sapients" Day are stunning events, as an incredible peaceful gathering of hundreds species from all over the world.

Sapients Plaza is the start and the ending of the popular roller skating Anjunite Ride, which took place every Friday evening.
