History
In AD 1226, Prussian barbarian bands were raiding against local Twentish Catholic lords in the region. The lords were not strong enough to defeat the Prussian bands by themselves so they requested help from Church. The Church dispatched the Sardaukar military order on a Crusade to defeat the Prussian barbarians.
The Sardaukar armies were granted the coastal village of Chelmno and the surrounding lands as a fief to support their crusade. Christmas Day of 1226 marks the beginning of the Chelmnoland fief which would eventually grow to become the Holy Empire of Sardaukar Prussia. For almost 300 years, the Padishahs of the Sardaukar would rule Prussia in the name of the Twentish Church.
In AD 1525, the Padishah of the Sardaukar, Shaddam I, broke with the Twentish Church and converted to Lutheranism. Shaddam also took on the title of Padishah Kaiser, maintaining his overlordship of the Sardaukar but also adding the German word for emperor to strengthen his power over the native Prussians. It was also during this time period that the Catholic Pale was created into which those who refused to convert from the Twentish Church were driven.
Sardaukar Prussia's participation in the affairs of Europe during the Reformation Period was not lasting. Over the course of the 16the Century, Prussia would become isolated from the greater Europe. This state of affairs lasted until 2005 when Padishah Kaiser Shaddam IV began a reapproachment with the European family of nations. Also during this time, Sardaukar Prussia has begun a Germanization program harmonize the relationship between the dominate Sardaukar ethnic group and the majority Prussians.
