The town of Scheveningen is part of The Hague. It is a modern bathing resort with a long sandy beach and a pier and has a long section that is reserved to be used exclusively as a nude beach. There is a small harbour which is used both for fishing and tourism. Annual events include a winter swim on New Year's Day, Flags Day in spring when the first new herring of the year is auctioned.
During the Shadow War the initial landings of both GDODAD and SATO forces (led by TST and Lavenrunz respectively) were in this townk, as it had a strategic road into The Hague. While the town suffered some collateral damage, KDF resistance to the initial landings was minimal and much of it survived the war. Since then the damage has been repaired and it is now a tourist resort that is particularly popular with Iuthian tourists.
