Region: The League of Reik and Darknes

un_member.gif The League of Reik and Darkness(Known commonly as the League or League of Reik and Darknes by Rogues) has survived untold ages, supported by the fourteen great nations that compose it. Rising from the ashes of savagery and barbarianism, the League was began by an alliance between Bensatak and Scraquos. In these days, those other nations of the alliance choose not to join the UN, instead letting Scraquos join, and pass on the happenings.

In the millions of years since the League has formed (though its population may not show the age, after all the wars with the rogues), Scraquos himself, still rules as its benevolent leader, presiding over the League at times of war and peace, generously allowing ideas of civilian and military officials into the debates. One of the great achievements of Scraquos in his operations with the League, is the creation of the drug know as Deus Infinitas, or eternal god. The drug basically makes whoever is injected immortal. To this very day, the same man rules the great Holy Empire of Scraquos in the name of the League, the people and the Omnissiah.

History: The Adeptus Mechanicus Ex Deus of Scraquos (Formerly the Holy Empire of Scraquos)

The Holy Empire was founded by Scraquos when he landed in the midst of thirteen separate civilized (barely) nations, desperately fighting for their survival against the Rouges, the Barbarians, and the “Ljel.” He arrived after fleeing the ancient enemy of his people, known as the Necrontyr, the undying race, who had become immortal from mortality, by worshipping ruthless gods and encasing themselves in soulless metal bodies, who became jealous of the Old Ones (Scraquos's people) ability to live for thousands of years. The rest of Scraquos’s people had left the dimension, and when he arrived in the midst of this tyranny, with the preaching’s and teachings of the forgotten Old One Machine God, the Omnissiah.

When he landed in his great City-ship, the Blackstone Fortress Gnaritas, in the midst of a godless barbarian nation, he decided at that moment to found his Holy Empire.

Today the empire is a symbol that the League could not have survived without, as it is the only other nation than the Dictatorship of the Immortal Nijura that the Rouges, Barbarians, and the Ljel fear, and has succeeded greatly in the areas of technology, especially information, nanotech, biotech, space-tech, and military-tech, that it has established itself as the most religious nation, the most paranoid, and the most advanced in space, as it has just finished building the great Blackstone Fortress Ares, a great wonder in the eyes of all, as it is twice the size of Mars, and operates as a mobile Forge World.

Rise of the Templum Von Mechanicus (Church of the Machine)

When Scraquos founded his great empire, worship to the Omnissiah was ones own choice. But eventually, over time, through the will of the people, it became the state religion to national religion, and, finally, to mandatory religion.

This happened because of three major steps, in which the godless becane interested in the Omnissiah's works:

  • The Higher Clas had laid eyes upon the ship that Scraquos landed in and become amazed.
  • The Middle Class saw the defense and offense that the "Combat Servitors" and "Robots" could do.
  • The Peasant Class saw a path to glory, redemption, and power in the word of the Omnissiah.

In this the peasants won. As a majority of the population, the peasants had the majority, and, after learning what the Omnissiah could offer, they established, with aid from a few middle class geniuses, the Adeptus du Mechanicus Deus- Adepts of the Machine God.

This achievement led to the peasants becoming the “Priests” or “Adepts” and those few lucky middle class individuals earned the position of “Magos”'s.

Over a long period of time, with the Adepts and Magos's interacting with Scraquos and the Omnissiah, they managed to retrieve great Machines of the Omnissiah and the Old Ones, the Standard Template Construct (STC), which led to a great Golden Age for the Adeptus du Mechanicus Deus, which (so far) has not ended.

One of these STC's produced a computer chip the size of a credit card with vast memory, that could be utilized as a money, and the STC that created them, had templates of how to create it, for the STC itself, could operate as a vault for a bank.

Discovery of the STC's made the Adepts and Magos's up their support for a National Religion, for the State Religion had been implanted with the coming of the Adeptus du Mechanicus Deus. The National Church was named Templum Von Mechanicus- Church/Temple of the Machine.

A few thousand years after that discovery, they discovered an STC that could create transporters and transport people via stationary and mobile transport pads. Utilizing this, the Templum transported themselves to an old Old One colony world, where they discovered the sleeping body of one of the ancient Necrontyr's C'tan (Star God), known as Eversor, or Destroyer.

With the discovery of this ancient evil, the Templum was prompted to declare worship of the Omnissiah mandatory, as to gather power through faith to fight the Necrontyr when they came.

This also acted to cause panic, making the people turn to the Omnissiah, for fear of invasion and believing in the receiving of the Omnissiah's blessing was tantamount to their survival.

To this day, the Templum remains, with the Adeptus du Mechanicus Deus a sub-station of it, and is still growing.

Rise of the Purity of the Human Machine

The Purity is a group of extreme fanatics completely and utterly dedicated to the Omnissiah and Scraquos. The current head of the PotHM is one WarPriest Chancellor Akh'mek Airasul. Airasul has been well known for his pure devotion to both the countries leader and god, and is well known for his zealous attitude in all situations. However, he is also know for his gift of leadership, shown in his ability to convert people to teh Purity. Airasul served for twenty-five years in the Imperial Space Marines, rising from a simple enlisted man to general in twenty years. In his remaining five years in the military, he met Geshna Fij, a Purity Monk, preaching the ways of PotHM, and became interested in the order. As soon as he left the military, he joined the PotHM, and five hundred years later, became their leader.

The Floating Prison Colonies

The Floating Prison Colonies are home to the officilas of the Rogue Nations From around the Empire and the World. There are five FPC's- FPC Rage, FPC Terror, FPC Poison, FPC Death, and FPC Eternity.

These five FPC's are home to the prisoners from the last war, the Fifth Territory War, the War in which all members of the League of Reik and Darknes banded together to expand the members territory and establish a large area of 500 miles square, for the city of Reik, and the city of Darknes, the HQ and the Research Center of the League.

The FPC's contain members of all ages, ranging from 10-159, all the prisoners who did not recieve the death sentence. These few are considered the lucky ones, considering the harsh reality of the Imperial Death Sentence. These are simply those few people who are no longer maleabe, or would not bow to the Empire and become Vassals. Citizens, politicians, soldiers, scientists, and business people.

Each of the 5 prison hold one of the groups, and each group are then seperated in reference to, in the following order; marriage, family, gender, orphans, profession, and so on.

Each prison is a pyramid like shape, extending from a octagon base, and are 1.5 miles tall, 100 miles long, and 400 miles wide.

Each prison is then seperated by rank, with the guards at the top near the hangar, and the low security below them, the highest ranking prisoner on the top floor of that, and then the high security on the bottom floor, with the most dangerous on the very bottom and the least dangerous on the top of those levels.

FPC Rage

The FPC Rage is home to the citizens of defeated Rogue Nations. Rage is known to be the mellowest of the FPC’s, and has been recorded as having the lowest mortality rate, and in fact, has become like an actual city. There is an entire hierarchy of civilization in the bowels of the Rage and the high security section of it has been turned into the prison and agricultural area. The members/prisoners of the FPC have adopted a currency of their own, a loose copycat edition of the nations own STC’s, and have adopted a slightly adjusted flag of the nation as their own, with the picture of the holy Planet framed with the name of the FPC. Also this FPC has been the one known to have the highest amount of prisoners sent toe the CPC’s, to live life amongst the clouds. Above all else, when the Empire attacks a Rogue Nation, many members of the Rogue Nation have been known to quit their high-paying jobs in hope of being sent to FPC Rage.

FPC Terror

The FPC Terror is the FPC to which soldiers of the defeated nations are sent. The Terror is a massive fortified structure, with powerful defensive arrays in the guard section of the FPC. The Terror has been know to house the most discontents, and is prone to rioting. Due to that fact, those guards of organic matter no longer patrol the area below the guard levels; those who are 80 percent or more machine patrol all hallways below the guards. The hierarchy of this FPC has pretty much remained the same as it was prior to the prisoners being placed there, a military organization of rank and file, with the promotions given to those who injure or kill guards. Due to the high mortality rate of both guard and prisoner, this FPC is the one that only disliked military or police members are sent to guard. Also the food given to the prisoners is usually slop, with the guards being only a little better. The prisoners’ food is sent through a tube and lands in a large bucket, one of which is on each level of the prison. FPC Terror has the second lowest rate of prisoners sent to the CPC’s, being second to the politicians.

FPC Poison

The FPC Poison is home to businessmen and businesswomen. However, it is not home to all business people, only the ones with high-paying, because those are the ones who have been noticed to influence the government of Rogue Nations with their money, power, and influence, to force their ideas on the Rogues government. The Poison has the second lowest mortality rate, next to the Rage, but the highest injury rate, due to their attempts at bribing the guards. All the guards, therefore, are highly religious fanatics, from organizations such as the Templum and the organization known as the Purity of the Human Machine. Because of that, the FPC is full of fanatics who worship the Omnissiah and listen to everything Scraquos says. Also because of that, the bribery attempts of the prisoners results only in enraging the guards.

FPC Death

FPC Death is home to the scientists, researchers, doctors, and such of the Rogue Nations. FPC Death’s society is one of over-eager people, and guards who are familiar with science of all fields. The prisoners of this FPC research and develop sciences to dangerous for the valued figures of the Empire to do so, and of it under constant watch of the guards. The FPC has a high mortality rate and powerful defenses thanks to the fact of frequent explosions and disasters happening within. However, even with the high mortality rate, the prisoners are still eager to serve and research. Because of this, the prisoners of FPC Death are the second highest in ranking to be sent to the CPC’s. This FPC has birthed many of the beginnings of the Empires finest technologies, and, even though its inhabitants are outcasts and members of Rogue Nations, they are accepted, after a period of five years in the CPC’s, as a citizen of the Empire.

FPC Eternity

The FPC Eternity is home to the politicians of the defeated Rogue Nations, and home of the lowest prisoners sent to the CPC’s. This is, quite frankly, because no one feels they can trust the inhabitants of this facility. Because of the deviousness of the politicians in this facility, the FPC is fully automated by an intelligent AI, and has a built in self-destruct system. The FPC has no connection with the outside, and grows all its food on the lower levels of the FPC. The materials required for the prisoners are made in factories located in the areas where the usual guard levels are. This FPC is also the only one that is mostly submerged under water. This is because of the high escape attempts. Though the majority of the attempts have failed, some precautions have been taken in order to discourage future attempts. The real reason this was done, was to make sure politicians stayed alive for interrogation if the officials of the Empire find something out they need to ask them.

The Planetary Colonies of Scraquos

The Planetary Colonies of the Empire number many, but few of them are actually truly vital. Those vital colonies contain the precious resources required for the economy, industry, and military might of the Empire. Also, the resources contribute to the greatness of the League. The colonies are treated well by the great Scraquos, and have powerful defense stations in orbit, along with the most powerful weaponry know to the League. THe great colonies were established in 13561 ALE (After League Estabilshment), and flourish today.

National Anthem

Between walls of pain and silent suffering

Stands the silent call of the Machine

And in silent Morning Prayer

His calming sincerity fills the air,

When all seems lost,

His presence fills the sky

Screaming his name in ancient binary.

Beneath the cowls of the empty moon

The holy planet rises red

And the gods great avatar

Bestows upon his children

The wisdom of his god.

The Omnissiah knows all and sees all

His presence is everywhere,

He sees you in your sleep

And comforts you while working.

The Empire remains strong

Untouched by heathen hands

And forever we shall remain

Untouched by Heathen Hands.
