History
Silvaienia is a proud country that was founded by King Roberto de Avacyn in 1100 AD. King Roberto de Avacyn spent most of his reign defending his proud kingdom before he was betrayed by his brother, Prince Edwardo. The prince's plans were foiled when King's son overturned his uncle and reclaimed the throne, becoming King Roberto II. Since that day, Silvaien has never had a civil war and the Avacyn dynesty has ruled supreme.
Empire
In the year 1623, the Silvaienian Queen, Queen Michelle II, began expanding her kingdom to become an empire. Over the next three centuries, Silvanienia became a center for trade and cultures began mixing in the coastal city of Lokte. A second palace was built here in 1850 so that the Emperor Agustus and Empress Olivia could better oversee the progress of their trade.
Politics
Silvaienia falls somewhere between a monarchy and a dictatorship. The crown keeps the citizens under close watch while still trying to ensure the rights of the people. Elections are not outright banned; however, the government selects the candidates who appear on the ballot.
Culture
Silvanienian culture, until the past century, centered around drinking in pubs for the lower class and drinking at upscale parties for the wealthy. Most disputes were settled by the sword until the duals were banned in 1949, after the eldest son of of an ambassador was killed and the country was nearly forced into war.
Food and Beverage
Food has always been important to the people of Silvanienia. Chocolate is the national food, citizens consuming it nearly 10% more than any other food. White wine is the most popular beverage with rum a close second, ale the previous top seller in the pubs.
Religion
Once a religiously diverse nation, Silvaienia converted to The Church of Silvaienia in September of 2006. Under the new jurisdiction, CofS is the only recognized religion in the country. All other faith organizations are banned.
Racing
With the new craze of motor racing, Silvaienia built three tracks to accomodate the sport.
Silvaienia International Speedway, located in the Coastal city of Lokte, Silvaienia, was the first track constructed. Built in March of 1980, it features the cruelest of twists and turns known in all the country. However, it overlooks the beautiful coastline, making it a favorite to race on in the spring and summer.
Imperial Motor Speedway, located in the capital of Aglar, Silvaienia, was constructed in May 1990. It is the friendliest of the three tracks in the country, featuring mostly straight ways with few bends.
King Roberto de Avacyn Memorial Park was constructed in Aleirin, Silvaienia in July 2005. As the newest speedway, it houses an average length track that happens to be rather bendy.
