Introduction
The People's Republic of Taballas is a tiny, devout nation whose hard-nosed, intelligent population come together to work for the common good of all Taballain creatures, sentient and non-sentient, socially, economically and politically. It is a nation that has not seen war in any living human's memory, although some of its elderly great wyrms still bear the scars of a distant militaristic past.
Social Taballas
Capital: The Home Place (Hearth, in the vernacular)
Population: 18 Million (Human: 15 Million; Dragon: 1.5 Million; Fey: 1 Million; Other: 0.5 Million)
Form of Government: Monarchical Republic.
Ruling structure: The head of state is The All Mother - a hereditory matrilinal position with overtones of a theocratic Head Priestess position. This position is balanced by an elected Senate through which the people govern themselves under the benevolent and omnipresent eyes of The All Mother.
