Taerkast City is a city in the borough of Taerkast City, located in the shire of Taerkast Proper. It is the largest and most populous city in the Royal Kingdom of Taerkasten, and its de facto capital, and as such is one of the leading centres of commerce, politics, industry, entertainment and culture in the country.
Its status as de facto capital of Taerkasten is as a result of being home to Hudson Palace and thus the national government, the home to many of Taerkasten's nobles, as well as being the headquarters of many major domestic and foreign corporations. Taerkast City is estimated to produce roughly 3.4% of Taerkasten's gross domestic product, and is one of the most heavily defended locations in the country.
