WHY do we need this? It is far too long, there are no links to it, and the UN resolutions are already on seperate pages. Seems to me like a waste of bandwith. Especially considering that there is also, you know, the game itself. :) --|Knoot|KNOOtalk 19:57, 11 September 2005 (GMT)

  • the aim of this page is that everyone will be able to search the whole UN resolutions in 1 click
  • when i was written "Adoption and IVF Rights" resolution, it tooks me so long to search if there was

already some references to adoption or IVF or related words in all the resolutions pages

  • i can add links if you want, just tell me i will do it, but i think it's very easy to keep update it this way; hope it will be possible not to delete it. Love and esterel 18:24:17, 2005-09-12 (GMT)
    • I wanted to bring up two points: (1) Firefly (Freedonia) has made a nice publication listing all the resolutions that he or I can link to on the UN Timeline or United Nations Association pages that can be printed to serve the same purpose, (2) it sounds like we are talking cross purposes. Love and esterel seems to be suggesting that what is needed is a comprehensive subject listing, which I have once was maintaining (http://pweb.netcom.com/~mierzwa10k/una/UNSubjectIndex.pdf) -- if users think that this should be Wikified, it seems to me that this is *no* different than things like listing ambassadors or airports, which I see present company have used Wiki for and we can work on a NSWiki UN Subject Index. I think it would be interesting and useful. Mikitivity 22:00, 13 September 2005 (GMT)
      • Mikitivity, thanks. Fris, nowadays, if you write a resolution, it's not easy, you have to check more than 120 resolutions for possible contradiction or duplication violations. There are 24 officials pages to check or the 8 pages of the " Passed N.S.U.N. Resolutions" thread which are not updated and in which the resolution number is often missing; or you can use the thread search function with only 1 search every 3 minutes! and which doesn't allow you to search short words!. When writing a resolution there are many searches to do. Love and esterel 02:43:44, 2005-09-14 (GMT)
  • It still seems kind of superflious [sp] to me. I can put up a vote, but I'd prefer if we could come to a consensus here. --|Knoot|KNOOtalk 12:27, 15 September 2005 (GMT)
