National Animal
The national animal of Talshyre is the winged unicorn. This rare creature exists in few places in the world, and Talshyre is one such place. Normally shy, the winged unicorn is intelligent and will associate with people that have good intentions. It can communicate via a limited form of empathic telepathy.
The winged unicorn is roughly the same size as a great dane dog. Its body structure is similar to that of a unicorn or a horse. Most winged unicorns have white hair, but black, brown, tan, gray, silver, and golden are not uncommon. Some even are multi-colored. The wings of a winged unicorn are feathery and tend be the same color (or colors) as the hair on the body. The winged unicorn has a tapered horn nearly identical to that of a unicorn. This horn is always the same color as the dominate hair color.
