The Empire of the Arctic Badlands is a huge, environmentally stunning, strong nation, and member of The Dominion. The nation is composed of three islands, located in the arctic north. The Arctic Badlands is ruled by the resonable, yet strict Emperor Damian Duman, with dictatorship authority.

The people of The Arctic Badlands are granted few rights by the corrupt, oppressive, omnipresent government. Citizens are granted the freedom to live their lives, but are kept under strict watch as the government waits for anyone to slip up. With the all-persusive and ruthless police force constantly roaming the nations streets, individual internet activity constantly monitored, phone-taps, and cameras watching public areas at all times, the people must remain cautious of what they say & do. The government has been quoted various times, refering to the people as mere "human resources."

History

For hundreds of years, Dumanville Island (the original island that now makes up the Arctic Badlands), were ruled by a fair & just royal family. There was a king. There was a queen. However, in 1870 things would change. A violent group known as the Green Army overthrew the both king & queen. For five months, the island was ravaged by civil war. Every member of the royal family was hunted, captured, and publicly beheaded. A new government took control. The leader of the Green Army, General Francis Duman, claimed his position as ruler of the land.

The nation would be under the control of the Duman family for the next hundred years. When one dictator died, a family memmber of their choice, would take control.

Things would begin to change during the reign of Foxx Duman. When Eric Duman died (1976), in his will his cousin Foxx was appointed as the new dictator. On his inauguration day, Foxx vowed to change the Arctic Badlands. Then, people hardly realized just how much change he would bring. One of his first acts as dictator, was to ban all private enterprise. All industries were taken over by the government. As well, at the time, the nation was in deep defecit. In only 15 months, Foxx Duman lifted the nation out of defecit & created a strong, prosporous economy.

Possibly his greatest accomplishment, was expanding the nation. During the 1990's, Foxx set his sights on an island just 300 miles south of Dumanville Island. He sent 10,000 men to take over. Of course, first they would have to conquer the poor, almost primative natives. It took only 15 days to gain control. With the natives destroyed, colonization began. Naming it after himself, he called the island "Foxxania."

Later on, Foxx would buy the neighboring island to the south. Foxx Duman had created an Empire.

However, not long after, the aging Emperor Foxx would have to step down from power, due to his poor health. He was becoming weak, and he was suffering from serious heart disease. There was no choice, but to pick a successor. He appointed his nephew, Air Force General Damian Duman, to be the next Emperor of the Arctic Badlands.

Government Structure

The Arctic Badlands is ruled by dictatorship government, headed by an Emperor (currently Damian Duman). The Emperor, who had been chosen by the previous Emperor, has full authority to make, remove, edit, and enforce laws, as he pleases.

However, since it is not possible for the Emperor to be everwhere at once, he appoints governors to preside over a certain region of the nation. These governors basically have dictatorship power over the region they have been assigned to. However, they cannot pass any laws which contradict national law. Also, the Emperor reserves authority to alter or remove any law passed by one of his governors.

The main duty of governors is not to create laws, but rather enforce them. Governors are in charge or maintaining law & order within their region.

The Arctic Badlands is divided up into four regions.
