History
1987 Revolution The Community of the Genetic was founded after the 1987 Scientific Revolution. The Revolution itself was not violent in anyway, it was just the migration of many scientists and civilians to what is now Gene Island. With them they took their studies of the human body and reproduction, to create a state of true genetic randomness, which began the ArtSem Project.
Artsem Project The ArtSem Project, or the Artificial Insemination Project, was a successful project of randomly breed two different subjects through artificial insemination. The projects main goal is to randomly pair two individuals to mix their traits and eventually create true genetic diversity in a single person. Other parts of the project aimed at slowly weeding out lethal genes from the mix to eventually create a new hearty breed of humans.
War of the Genetic This was the first full scale war inwhich the Community fought in. It began when the Genetic military began to construct a military base on the nearby Isle Sophia, which it has legal claim on. However the Empire of Calpe declared that it also had rights to the island, leading to a tense period between the two nations.
The base on Sophia was over two weeks old when the conflict broke out. Before they fired upon Community Forces, the Calpian Emperor sent a message to the Genetic Foreign Affairs Department declaring a halt in the bases construction. The Stata then replied that the Community was perfectly legal in constructing a military outpost there on the western coast of Isle Sophia, and ordered the 1st Naval Defense Force to head to the Island, along with a 24 hour constant patrol over the western part of the Island to protect the Community's assests. However, in a fit of rage, the Emperor of Calpe ordered his forces to fire upon Genetic Aircraft and the Sophian Military Base. Nine SU-34 fighter aircraft were lost in that first strike, along with many personnel at the Sophian Military Base.
In response the 1st Naval Defense Fleet headed out to intercept the Calpian Carrier Group, but heading out reveiled a stealth Calpian attempt to invade Isle Sophia. Instead of assaulting the Carrier Group, Eu.Admiral Huxley onboard the GWS Aldous ordered the 1st Naval to fire on the Calpian Marine Transport Ships, sinking atleast three before receiving orders to observe a Cease Fire.
The Genetic Foreign Affairs Department ordered that a naval helicopter, transport Minister Horner to begin a cease fire talks with the Empire of Calpe. Minister Horner ran out of ideas, and decided to consulted Stata Aenic, who then had ordered the Genetic Special Security Group, to enter the helicopter that was to pick up Minister Horner. The Helicopter landed on the Calpian Naval Frigate, HES Corobia, where Minister Horner gave the signal to engage. Two SSG Soldiers armed with Rocket Propelled Grenades stepped out of the helicopter and fired at the Corobia's aft equipment, and then pulled out their GAR-21 Assault Rifles, and began to engage Calpian saliors. Moments later two other soldiers placed high explosive devices on the aft hull of the HES Corobia. The devices detonated along with a bomb on the helicopter, sending the HES Corobia down to the depths of Sindra Sea.
In response to the attack on the HES Corobia, the Calpian Air Force launched B-2 Bombers against the Genetic Military Bases on Nexian and Naval Islands. The result was horrible, the Calpian B-2s decimated parts of the Genetic Military Bases, leaving 2,384 Soldiers and 293 Civilians dead. It was clear that the Community was losing horribly, leaving one option to the Admiralty, Attack the Calpian Carrier Oituz. 12 SU-34 took off from Kaos Airfeild, with anti-ship loadouts. The observed radio silence and stayed under 300 feet to protect angainst most rader detection. They started to make their way down to the Oituz as night fell. Two hours later, Genetic pilots under the cover of darkness found the Oituz, it was a small lighted beacon on the seas. The gunners locked their missiles onto the Oituz, at a location, at the waterline on the carrier, for maximum damage. They fired, 24 high-explosive anti-ship missiles streamed from under the fighters and headed for the carrier. The fighters quick, switched to their rockets and cannons, and began to strafe the deck and bridge of the Oituz. Three missiles passed through the Phalanx CIWS defenses, and hit the carrier causing critical damage to the Oituz, which later sunk to the bottom of the Genetic Sea.
The loss of the Oituz and a personal friend, Francis Dubois, caused the Calpian Emperor to offer a settlement: A split in Isle Sophia; North would be Genetic and the South be Calpian. The Stata agreed to the terms, bring the War of the Genetic to an end.
Sophian Compromise One year after the War of the Genetic, the Stata and the Calpian Emperor both agreed on a meeting to honor the dead of both sides during the conflict and to sign a alliance between the Community of the Genetic and the Empire of Calpe. The meeting took place on Amphibious Assault Ship GWC Sophian Compromise, which was to be crisened that day by the Stata and Calpian Emperor. The Sophian Compromise is also the name of the treay which was signed that day.
