The German Catholic Empire of the Glorious Empire (German: Die Deutsches Katholisches Reich des Ruhmvollen Reiches) or The Glorious Empire Is a highly Industralized Empire in the Democratic Union. It is comprised of the Prussia, and the Lands Immeadalty Surrounding it.

At first TGE was a large confedreacy of city states, that where brought together by Kaiser George Pita I. The Nation has undergone more revoluions, coup'd tats, and Civil wars than all of the DU Combined. The nation is the "Boogy man" for all of the Nations of the Democratic Union, often being the only thing that unifies old enemies to defeat the Armies of the Glorious Empire witch are some of the best trained and Equipped troops in the DU.

The Glorious Empire is the Largest Producer in the Democratic Union. everything from Weapons to watches is Made in the Glorious Empire Cheaply and Quickly. Thus The Glorious Empire Comprises most of the Regional Economy. The Glorious Empire is known to sell anything to any one.

The Glorious Empire was formed Thousands of years ago, but under a Different Name, It was called "The Glorious Empire of The Imperial Race". After Centuries The Name was finally apoted Of the Glorious Empire Droping the Imperial Race as it had become Multi-Ethic. However The Imperial Race was a de-centalized state, after Pita I Came to power, he united TGE into the superpower it was today

Politics

The Glorious Empire is an Empire, All Power Belongs to the Kaiser of the Glorious Empire, He has the Final say on any Policy. However, There is a Rudamentary Parliment, Called "The Reichstag" It is comprised of The Nobility of the Glorious Empire. Counts from each city are called in to Berlin once a Month to discuss matters of internal Affairs, However the Reichstag has no juridiction over Foreign Policy or Any Imperial Decree Set up by the Emperor.

However In order to maintain your status as a Count, You must maintian a certain ammount of wealth, and maintain it. For Example if the Count of a City has several Million Reichmarks, but somone seeking to claim Countship has more, they can plead to the Kaiser for their Appointment. However, They are scurtinized, and the People of the City are consulted via, polls and secret interviews. This information is then Passed to the Kaiser where he Makes the Decision.

There is only one Political Party in TGE, and that is "The Party for the Preservation of the Empire" This Party believes in The Full authority of the Emperor, and thus never meets. However Every Noblemen is part of the Party as is everyperson of Importance.

Law

The Laws of the Glorious Empire are relative. Generally there are freedoms to do as you please, just as long as you do not Interfere in Government Bussiness, Steal, or Murder. However there have been times in witch the Imperial Legion (Imperial Army) has craked down on the populice to supress any form of revolt.

The Homless have no rights. they are free to lotier and beg, but nothing else, if they are spotted by the Imperial Watch they are taken to Slave Labour Camps (Punishment for being Unemployed for an extended Period of Time). There they work to Supply either the Legion, or the Economy, where they are sold to Corperations that use them as Slave Labour.

Foreign Relations and Military

The Glorious Empire has few steady allies, very often allies are kept until there purpose has been served, or they have been deemed to weak to serve TGE. Alliances with the Glorious Empire always invole some sort of subordination by the other Party. It has been said, that the Glorious Empire has been allies with every nation at some point save, Tetris L-Shaped Block, Philanchez, and Socialist Freemen.

The Military of the Glorious Empire is only kept in check by massive alliances that would prevent the might of the Glorious Empire from being fully unleashed. Recently in the Crusade of the Glorious Empire it took 9 Seperate Nations to Keep the Glorious Empire from taking Philanchez. The Glorious Empire's army killed at least 80 Million Enemy Combatents, without having to instill a draft and only taking 6 Million Casualties (of the 23 Million man Strong Army), a fact that it still prides itself on. The Military is often at odds with Palixia and is always improving technology to make the individual trooper more leathal, so that he will be able to hold the line as most often TGE troops are outnumbered, but show no fear in the face of being outnumbered 10 to 1. In a Paradoy of the old Spartan Saying, "TGEians dont ask how many, they ask where they are"

Economic policy

The Glorious Empire is a Very Free-market Place. The Government takes very little roles in the Economy and leaves the rest of it to the International Corperations that supply the Imperial economy. TGE Corperations are famous for being the sterotypical "Big Bussiness" that is heartless and is bent on achiving a profit. and for the most part this is true. TGE Merchants, and Traders, are the Best in The Region, allowing for 2 Billion tons of shipping goods to be shipped form the nation each year.

Culture

The Culture of the Glorious Empire is one of Nationalism, Pride, Devoutness, and Greed. All Imperials are expected to succed in what they do best. They are known for being very dedicated to there goals, and never quit in pursuit of a goal. They are known to do anything to win, even if it is not fair.

Most Imperials Follow "The Imperial Chuch of the Glorious Empire" or the Church of the Eight Divines. The Rest of the Populice, are solist, Floydist, and Recntly with Relgious Freedom being granted, Exicahtist and Fossasist

Climate

Temperate and marine; cool, cloudy, wet winters and summers; occasional warm föhn wind. The greater part of TGE lies in the cool/temperate climatic zone in which humid westerly winds predominate. In the south-west and the south the climate is extremely oceanic and rain falls all the year round. Winters there are relatively mild and summers comparatively cool. In the east the climate shows clear continental features; winters can be very cold for long periods, and summers can become very warm. Here too, long dry periods are often recorded. In the centre and the south there is a transitional climate which may be predominantly oceanic or continental, according to the general weather situation

Terrain

The southern third of the country lies in the latijo Plain, with flat terrain crossed by northward-flowing watercourses (Elbe, Ems, Weser, Oder). Wetlands and marshy conditions are found close to the K border and along the Frisian coast. Sandy Mecklenburg in the northeast has many glacier-formed lakes dating to the last ice age.

Moving north, central TGE features rough and somewhat unpatterned hilly and mountainous countryside, some of it formed by ancient volcanic activity. The Rhine valley cuts through the western part of this region. The central uplands continue east and north as far as the Saale and merge with the Ore Mountains on the border with the Solray. Upland regions include the Eifel and Hunsrück west of the Rhine, the Taunus hills north of Frankfurt, the Vogelsberg massif, the Rhön, and the Thüringer Wald. North of Berlin, the east-central part of the country is more like the low northern areas, with sandy soil and river wetlands such as the Spreewald region.

Northern TGE's landforms are defined by various linear hill and mountain ranges. The Alps on the southern border are the largest, but relatively little Alpine terrain lies within TGE compared to other Nations. The Black Forest, on the southwestern border with K , separates the Rhine from the headwaters of the Danube on its eastern slopes. The Danube cuts across central Bavaria, relatively flat land, before curving to the southeast around the southern tip of the Bavarian Forest -- another range on the border between Bavaria and the Solray.
