Casus Belli

On December 11th the Land of Kings and Emperors invaded Iraq with support of the Congress of Sovereigns. The Defender and Communist Alliances - branded the Soviets by the Land of Kings and Empeorrs - sucessfully repelled the attack in the biggest battle in NationStates for two years. The Soviets then in a surprise attack on December 12th seized Valhalla; a colony of The New Inquisition. LKE Nationals Epsilon Andromadae and Cingeta then defected to the Red Liberty Alliance which enraged the Land of Kings and Emperors.

This dragged the entire Congress of Sovereigns into a full scale war.

Events of the War

The Land of Kings and Emperors invaded the Red Liberty Alliance colony of New Europe on December 18th. It was subsequently annexxed and converted into a Congressional military base.

On December 19th the NationStates Communist Party hacked the Founder and subsequently invaded the LKE Colony of Austria-Hungary. However, this was quickly appealed by the Congress to the Moderators who reverted the hackings.

For the rest of December the Congress took to the offensive and seized the Soviet regions of Warzone Sandbox, Land of Dragonia and New Caprica.

However, for the remainder of January smaller battles took place in regions of both sides with no significant victories for either side.

On the 27th of January Valhalla was finally returned to the New Inquisition and on 10:56 GMT on Saturday 27th January 2007 the two side were at peace.

Aftermath

The immediate result of the war was the Land of Kings of Emperors gaining Land of Dragonia and New Europe as colonies with Warzone Sandbox and New Caprica ceasing to exist.

However, in the long term the Red Liberty Alliance subsided into inactivity from February with the previous powerhouse of Genosha hosting the resignation of eleven cabinet members from the 1st to the 14th of March.

The Congress of Sovereigns - an alliance previously unused - was found to be the most powerful military alliance in the game with the New Inquisitorial and the Land of Kings and Emperor's Armies finally gaining legitimacy as first class fighting forces. Although both decided to abandon raiding as a foreign policy.

New Europe was to result in a rebellion from much of the New Social Democratic Party in the Land of Kings and Emperors who seized the region for themselves and thus the resignation of Prime Minister OnderKelkia on May 23rd 2007, 05:29 PM GMT. This led to the collapse of the Centrist Party and the rise of the militarist Liberty Party.

On the 19th of June 2007 Prime Minister Holy Ekaj Monarchy of the Land of Kings and Emperors ordered the invasion of the Red Liberty Alliance region of Marxist Leninist Party and the Second Great War began.

Dear SFBA Residents:

Yesterday our region fought in one of the biggest battles I have seen in about a year.

80 nations rallied for both sides each, but sadly the capitalist, raiders and fascist won the battle.

In the battle we solidified our ties with pre-existing allies such as NationStates Communist Party, High Flyin' Baby's (located in Baja California), and Genesis Defense Project.

We were let down by old allies: Great Green Federation and Marijuana Militia who decided to join the capitalist, raiders and fascist.

For me yesterday showed me what a kick-ass region we have in comparison to others. We emptied out SFBA in the defense of Marxist Leninist Party in a matter of ours because of the quick response and activity of the nations residing in this region.

I greatly thank all of the nations who were involved. Yesterday was a landmark, it was the change from the old SFBA to the new SFBA. The members from Revolution are fully merged with us and we are working as one.

I give you all hope to look forawrd to future victories. I sent out a telegram yesterday to all the Peoples Armies members and our allies. That telegram stands true. I am going to spend through the weekend to modify our forum so we can better communicate.

Starting this next Monday, we are going on a FULL SCALE WAR with Corporate Conservatives and the Nazis in NationStates.

I thank you. I have been doing a lot of thinking lately, and I think that our Peoples Army needs a revolutionary change. But, not only our Peoples Army must change; we must also have a regional meeting to talk about the future of this region.

This last conflict has given us new light into the way NationStates has evolved to at this point. I am speaking mainly on the region/region relations. Old allies are now enemies and new allies have arrived.

Also, with the merger of the region Revolution, we were occupied with conflict after conflict. Yes, they had an idea of what our region was like by my description and chose to come over, but they must also be given a proper forum to discuss with us the future of this region, and the general state this region is in.

Although, for it to happen I am going to need to co-operation of a LOT of people. We have over 100 people signed up on our forum. If you are signed up and would like to have an active voice in the politics of this region, then make sure to let me know.

I will be creating a private board room for a Regional meeting where all citizens will get the password to. As Regional Security Advisor I will be giving out the passwords to the citizens.

If you for some reason are not given the password and would like to be involved you can bring your case to court under review the Bay Area Internal Affairs and Delegate. (Although, I don't see this being an issue).
