The Irish Rover

The Irish Rover was created by 'Captain Vulgar' (a puppet nation of 'Lemmingtopias') in June 2007. It exists a an independent military region with a 'semi-pirate' theme.

History of 'The Irish Rover'

Founding - Siege upon 'The Raiding Network'

• The Irish Rover was created in the aftermath of a large-scale purge, by the order of Queen Killerkatz of Catlandatopia, in The Raiding Network. Lemmingtopias, at that time Minister of Foreign Affairs and UN Delegate for The Raiding Network, was among those exiled by the Catlandatopian Dictator, after demanding independence from the forced rule of Queen Killerkatz.

• Lemmingtopias, after spending a very short time in Britain, created a puppet nation named Captain Vulgar - It is with this nation that The Irish Rover was founded. A recruitment of those exiled from The Raiding Network began and in a very short time, the region was fully operational, using a traditional pirate-ship government system, (A system which is still used to this day).

• Despite origionally declaring The Irish Rover to be a region that would eventually merge with a liberated The Raiding Network, Captain Vulgar soon retracted this in favour of a brand new independent region.

• Catlandatopia immedietly tried to destroy The Irish Rover by invasions and making false and slanderous statements against Lemmingtopias and other members of The Irish Rover - They had little effect - before long a full scale siege upon The Raiding Network began in reaction - A siege which is still in effect to this day - The Raiding Network has been in lockdown since early july because of this - and is now all but destroyed.

First Diplomatic Engagements

• Soon after its creation, the region took part in raids with regions The Raiding Network were formerly tied with. These shared military operations lead to alliances with Konoha and Rejected Realms 2 (Now The Armed Kingdom) - and a very close friendship with The Genesis Federation.

War

• In July 7007, Thenewly created nation, Lamdrake, joined The Irish Rover. Lamdrake wanted to be placed in second command, a notion that was refused by the rest of the region - Lamdrake left the region and formed The 1st Lamdrakian Division as a region that existed to take over The Irish Rover - after spying, illegal recruitment and many failed invasions - a war was declared - If The Irish Rover had of made any basic mistakes - which it very nearly did - Lamdrake would have destroyed the region and taken control - Luckily, the leadership of Captain Vulgar lead to a victory which forced the surrender of all Lamdrakian regions, and many of its puppet nations, to The Irish Rover. - The Irish Rover now has some control over the military of lamdrake's new region Plasma Stronghold. The war lasted around a month.

• Despite the victory, The Irish Rover has suffered greatly due to the war. Before the war there were around 30 nations - after it - there were only five - most of the remainder leaving due to the effects of the war. The Irish Rover has never fully recovered.

Halo

• Around the time of the end of the war, The Irish Rover embarked on its biggest mission yet, the defence and re-founding of Halo - threatened daily by various raider regions. - What should have been a straightforward mission turned into the downfall of the region. - Estimating it taking three days to re-found halo - it took more like six weeks - by the time of a final victory - The Irish Rover was almost inactive. Halo was refounded in early October 2007

• Following the re-founding of Halo, Captain Vulgar embarked on a new plan to unify all the halo regions - begginning with a raid on an inactive region with one inactive nation - Blue Halo - This failed due to Defenders successfull spy operations.

The Rogue Brotherhood - A new era?

• In mid October 2007, 'Captain Vulgar' began an Alliance Organisation between The Irish Rover, Konoha and The Armed Kingdom in order to better safeguard the three regions security and to create a strong raider presence. This Organisation has been named The Rogue Brotherhood and is stil in its early stages. However, it may be too late to save The Irish Rover - as it is estimated that there are now only four active members.
