The North Pacific Guardians (previously known as The North Pacific Government) arose from a community which formed in the wake of Pixiedance, at that time controlled by Insane Power, stepping down from the Delegacy of The North Pacific. (The forum had been the home of the regional government during his Delegacy).
Many of those who now use the TNPG forum feel that the current government is not acting democratically. They believe this is shown by their not allowing universal participation in the regional government forum (as advertised in the WFB); by their increasingly restrictive practices and biased moderation on that forum.
The s9 forum aims to uphold the rights of all natives of TNP and their right to free speech, regardless of whether that disagrees with the government. This belief is enshrined in Section A Part IV of the TNPG Charter:
"The North Pacific Guardians uphold the right to free speech. This extends to those with opposing views to those held by the President, members of the Cabinet and other forum Admins.
