Geography

The Borg Collective Of Tresmius is situated on a small planet in the delta quadrant, a member of the Region, Star Trek. The planet, Borg 9 (The borg have no use for names which aren't short and to the point) is full of mountains and lakes, which are mostly covered in borg defense structures. The image below is the only one available, since noone has returned with images, this is what the planet looked like before being conquered by the borg, it probably looks much more polluted and industralized as well as mechanized.

History

Before the borg conquered this small planet, it was massively populated by humanoids, then the borg invaded, and Assimilated all but a few (who escaped in a shuttle pod, their location is currently unknown) of the people. Under the rule of the all dominant Tresmius (offspring of The Borg Queen. Tresmius himself has never been seen in public, although no pictures have been seen of him, he is said to be one of few of the pure borg race, born a borg, he was never any other race, he was one of few (or single) offspring of the borg queen). Before the borg conquered this planet, it was a member of the region One World Government.

Cities

The capital city of Tresmius, Borg 9 Central, is the hugest of many cities on this planet. Borg 1, the first city, is a huge military base where military research is performed. This is also the location of the military of Tresmius, a huge force to be reckoned with, possessing hundreds of millions of borg drones which have been modified for strength and speed, a super-army resides here. Borg 2 is a technological research city, where research is constantly performed, usually in the form of bio-research - scientific tests are regularly performed on humanoids, various species (captured by the drones of Borg 3) and even the borg themselves. Borg 3 is home to a huge docking station, manned by millions of borg drones. Borg ships and other space vehicles are regularly constructed and launched from the mega-city, their prime targets being to assimilate and capture other species and ships from all over the universe, as well as to protect the planet from anyone who may wish to attack. There have been several attempts to attack and conquer the planet - all of these attempts proved futile, the enemies were boarded and assimilated, or conquered, before they even got near the atmosphere. Borg 4 is a city which focuses on economy. Borg drones mine, work, produce, manufacture, and many other actions which generate finances for the super-economy of Tresmius. The huge factories in Borg 4 produce so many gases and pollutants that no other species would be able to live naturally on the planets surface. Borg 6 was abandoned after a mysterious virus begun to cause malfunctions in all borg there. Walls were built around the city, all that remains there now is desert, it was abandoned many many years ago and noone has been there since. Below the desert there is likely the remains of Borg 6. Borg 7 was built to replace Borg 6. It is the tallest city - it consists of one huge multi-functioning building, which towers above everything around, so much so that if a humanoid were to stand on top of the building, he would die immediately due to the heat levels as it is so close to the troposphere. Borg however, have adapted and can survive these heat levels. The buildings main function is to store evyerything, including drones, weapons, materials, and space-vehicles. The building also has build into missile launchers, which have a huge range - an enemy planet could even be reached, but their main purpose is to attack any threat - such as an enemy ship - and protect the planet. Borg 8 supplies power and other necessities to all of the other cities. Part of it consists of huge Nuclear fusion cores and reactors as well as solar panels, and the rest produces other necessities such as nutritional materials (although the borg are machines, they still contain biological parts which require nutritional supplements to function, at least once a month. These supplements are replicated at Borg 8). Borg 9 is the most giant city on the planet, and occupies more than a quarter of the planets surface. This is the home of Tresmius (the conquerer of the planet and the one who gave it his name), who lives a life of luxury - he has emotions, feelings, and individual thoughts, as he was made this way by the borg queen, so he could experience happiness. It also has space docks, and supercities within it. Borg 9 itself is so huge that it is divided into five subcities - Borg north, Borg east, Borg south, Borg west, and the largest - Borg central, which is the capital of the planet and the residence of Tresmius. There are blueprints for construction of Borg 10 - a floating city, and the work on this new 'floating city' is set to commence in November 2007, when the Borg Queen herself will come to see it through. The floating city is planned to be a defensive city, as well as an economy centre, and there are plans to make it mobile - so it may even become a space city.

Politics

The country is under the command of Tresmius and his Borg, who are under the command of the Borg Queen. This is one of few planets under Borg leadership to have negotiated with the federation, and to be peaceful to non-borg lifeforms passing by (because this planet is an experiment of the borg queen. It's aim is not to conquest, but to show her what it would be like to have a planet under her leadership, rather than just use spaceships. It has been successful in terms of economy so far, negotiations have even been made with Bill Gates (richest Lifeform in the universe) A former humanoid who was assimilated, and is interested in investing in the planet as well as buying companies and property there.

The Future

Things look very good for the future of Tresmius; the country is in a constant state of population and economic growth, and has immense military power, however, the borg queens plans, wishes, and what she could command, are unknown just as her mind is so myserious, so whether these hugely potent weapons will ever be used remains a mystery.

Nationstates Page

The Borg Collective of Tresmius is a massive, economically powerful nation, notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 1.777 billion are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, moralistic government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Defence, although Law & Order and Education are on the agenda. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 20%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Uranium Mining industry, followed by Automobile Manufacturing and Arms Manufacturing.

The government is notorious for leaving citizens with almost nothing from their inheritance, political activists are routinely executed, the government regularly hires contractors to construct high rise apartments, and citizens wishing to be parents must undertake a series of gruelling tests to evaluate their capabilities. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is well under control, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Tresmius's national animal is the Humanoid, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Cybernetic Chip.
