The Protectorate of Trilan is a breakaway nation from The Principality of Zionaren. It is a newly created nation to expand Tarutaru influence throughout the region. Trilan also has a seat on the Tarutaru Union Council and is an active member of the North Continental Alliance.

The Colony of Zionaren

As the threat of war loomed over the Principality of Zionaren the Council of Chancellors met to discuss the issue. One prominent Chancellor, Professor Shantotto stated that it be best to colonize the great island south of Zionaren to secure trade routes and expand the influence of the Zionaren Xheng's. The Council of Chancellors agreed to this task and since the island was unoccupied, they founded the city of Trilan, naming the island the Princilality of Trilan. Like Zionaren, the Trilans also reconfirmed their commitment to the Tarutaru Union and the Xheng Empire recieving their ambassadors.

Trilan at first remained a colony of Zionaren but eventually the newly established Chancellor-General Shantotto recieved full independence in the cooperative of the Tarutaru Union. The Principality of Zionaren also relinquished after a short 20 years of establishing the nation, full political powers to Trilan itself granting it full sovereignty.

Nearly unanimous agreement always concurs between Trilan and Zionaren confirming a powerful bond between the two nations. Following the interests of commercial adventures and trade the two nations work together to help build a good future.

Trilan is one of the region's most free and open nations. Oddly they have surrendered willingly military and foreign relations to the Zionarens. Before Trilan's founding, the Dictatorship of InsaneHunter threatened to move into the local areas conquering Independent territories. Zionaren was one of the few nations to oppose it openly and even moved its fleet to blocade the Dictatorship's ports. With the intervention of the Technocracy of Gryphonisia, war was averted but the Principality of Zionaren realized that it had to defend itself against aggressive Nations.

Government

The government of the Principality of Trilan is virtually identical to that of Zionaren. Like the Empire the Zionarens divided their territory up into twenty district provinces, thus the Triland did the same thing. Each district province would be lead by a Chancellor, and under him would be elected members of his cabinet. On top of having to deal with provincial matters, every Provincial Chancellor was also responsible for a certain ministry appointed to him by the Chancellor-General, who was the leader of the entire Principality Government. This system kept the Chancellors loyal and at the same time provided equal footing when dealing with regional issues.

The new government also was elected. Every official elected on a basis of 10 year terms. The current Chancellor-General Shantotto Venixer who has ruled for 6 years. The Zionaran people see democracy as something that is unnecessary and wonder why the world's population sees it so valuable. To them decisions are better made when in the hands of those who are proven leaders and that elections only put their reputations of stability in question.

From Principality to Protectorate

The official name of the Principality of Trilan has been turned to a Protectorate since foreign and military relationships with other nations are handled by another nation. For a Protectorate, it is subject to the laws of a foreign nation for these matters but otherwise domestic laws and regulations are decided locally in the National Capital.

In the process, the Xheng Empire confirmed this change, and officially withdrew its Embassy and instead established a High Commission to the Protectorate of Trilan at Trilan City.

Military power

The peaceful Protectorate of Trilan is actually the Tarutaru source of military weaponry in Red vs Blue region. The Tarutaru Union itself cannot send too much military equipment to the Principality of Zionaren or the Protectorate of Trilan. Trilan's military budget at most recent was 2 billion komas and allows some leniency in its military spending. Only during the InsaneHunter affair where it invaded a sovereign nation did the peaceful Tarutaru show military force.

Airships: Unlike most nations in the world the Tarutaru Union Military Technology is unusual in comparison to other nations. They utilize slower moving airships, huge helium filled zepplins with reinforced rubber and titanium-aluminium skins that prevent them from being shot down. Massive propellers pull these ships forward with a fantastically large bombload that could devastate cities. Though they are considerably slower, they can fly at higher altitudes than bombers can and have remarkable accuracy. Airships are also used frequently for security checks and spying if needed

Cardian Guards: Automated soldiers designed for combat in biohazard areas or heavily mined battlefields. They are entirely automated robotic soldiers who can travel on any type of terrain even rocky terrain and obey remote controlled orders, or are left to their programming. Cardian Guards can be produced on mass and do not require food or pay. They are considerably cheaper to handle in comparison to heavy machinery. Cardian Guards can be effective with ranged weapons or even operation of tanks and armed transport vehicles. Cardians are also programmed for piloting making a single Cardian Guard a pilot, an assault trooper, a driver for a vehicle and an engineer. They do have the ability to repair each other but realistcally would need an actual Tarutaru engineer there to supervise them. Despite their appearance they can in fact go up and down staircases. They are called "Cardian" guards because they used to be named after Tarot cards. In their military ranks the "Ace" Cardians are the highest ranking. In reality the Cardian Guards are drone foot soldiers used to simply swarm enemies since they don't obstacles fall in their way. They may even be subject to friendly fire, distracting enemy positions as more and more of them arrive on the scene. Remarkably cheap to produce, only the Tarutaru truly know how they function. Foreign attempts to replicate the technology have failed. Cardians over the course of the years have been standard sights throughout the cities of the Tarutaru from the Xheng Empire to its principalities and tribal borderlands.

Conventional Weaponry: The Tarutaru union does in fact purchase large assortments of weaponry from other nations. Due to the physical capabilities of the Tarutaru, they themselves modify and adopt the weaponry such as ground and naval vehicles for their use. Most of them are crewed by Cardian guards who have physical stature to humans. Weapons of all nature can be used by the Tarutaru even if they are physically smaller they are quite strong for their size and do have the ability to handle weapons of their type.

Crimson Guard: The bodyguards of the Chancellor-General who still wear the traditional armor of their first formation. They are responsible for guarding most important government facilities and the properties and residences of important officials. Armed with Sword and Shield in traditional ceremonial roles the Crimson Guard are also a covert operations team capable of infiltration and espionage.

Zionaren City: the largest and most prosperous city in the entire Zionaren Peninsula and the Coalition of Tarutaru Sovereignties. As the capital city of Zionaren it is the nexus of political intrigue for all Tarutaru. The Capital Palace of Zionaren City is a fantastically modern trio of pyramid like structures covered with glass and metal buildings, a far new design type compared to the older naturesque styles of the Tarutaru. Zionaren City also sits at the entrance to the Star Lake.

Sirrobjr: Named a great healer of Tarutaru mythology, the city is also a fully equiped port that bridges the Protectorate of Trilan with the Principality of Zionaren. Strategically this point is valuable for guarenteeing trade between nations in the ocean, thus the Zionaren Fleet is a common sight.

Shadow's Bane: The name of this settlement is for the enormous lighthouse on its territory. Though also a port itself, Shadow's Bane functions as the most eastern city in the region so military presence is always there.

Zephtyr Port: Unusual for a Tarutaru city, Zephtyr was named after a great Human hero. A thief and a criminal who oddly devoted his life to defending the smaller Tarutaru people. As a monument to their admired hero the Tarutaru named a settlement after him that turned out to become one of the great ports of the north.

Magicus: Magicus is not quite a city but a fortress that stands to guard the canal routes to the interior cities of Zionaren. The Central Zionaren Army's large fortifications have yet to be challenged.

Erinne: The more beautiful of the cities, Erinne was the first city to adopt the Jacques Fresco methods of design. The city is mostly white and nature like and blending in with the enviornment.

Tocasa: At the north end of Lake Tomal Tocasa is a resort city that used to function as a military installation. Since the entrance of Entoran into the Protectorates Tocasa was converted into a pleasure city.

Fryhtaning Port: Chief trade port to the Protectorate of Keodian, Fryhtaning Port was named after another Tarutaru hero of the past.

Trilan City: The Trilan Capital and secondary naval base. From this point the Chancellor-General and her officials maintain the government of the relatively nature preserved island.

Cieljek Port: The Southern most port to the entire Tarutaru Union's presence in the region, this is the main naval base for all Tarutaru military vessels and air force. Cieljek Port was named after a great General in the Tarutaru Mythology.

Kobili: The Port guarding entrance to Lake Kobili it is the first of the Capitals to ever be named not after the nation but an individual. Kobili was once a famous bard in Zionaren who's travels and spectatular music made the Zionaren musical arts famous. Kobili has since become a city of art and performances.

Araphanie: The Mithran capital city. From there a sub-government lead by the Mithra Chieftan takes issues for their own people.

Galkani: The Galka capital city is a city built in the high hills. Perfering the stone bastions of mountains this city is built with the staggering strength of the Galka themselves.

Uruk: The northern most city of the Tarutaru realms, Uruk is under adminitration by the Humes, or Humans. It is one of two human settlements that exist within Tarutaru political borders and is given relatively a great deal of automony. It willingly joined with the Protectorate of Keodian after the War in Kratloctostan for collective security. The Humans there have since enthusuasically joined with the Tarutaru military to defend their new lands.

Pari: The second of the Hume/Human settlements. This is the smaller ship building city for the Tarutaru defense forces. Across the sea is the Mithran city of Araphanie which shows a diverse multicultural aspect to the Protectorates.

Keodian: The Tarutaru Capital city of Keodian is Keodian City. Above all it is also the largest of the cities and conducts a great deal of trade with the outer world.

Methos: Named after a great Elvaan hero, the city is that of the Elvaan people. Tall, elegant, noble and strong the city reflects this. Though they are relatively militaristic they have turned this into an encouraging military growth by the Tarutaru. The Tarutaru fund a large military recruitment program where many Elvaans participate in. The second largest race in the city are a tie between the other three, Mithra, Hume/Human and Galka. There are some Tarutaru in the city but they perform more bureaucratic work.
