Their main aim is to end the corruption currently plaguing the Middle East. During the period directly following creation, the BASS experienced a small rise in nations that topped only at about 6 or 7 nations. Realising the Socialist part of the region was frightening off otherwise guaranteed members of the region; the name of the region was changed to Baath Arab States (BAS). Within a few weeks membership reached 14 nations. Blessed by a strong feeling of unification amongst regional leaders, it was decided that the time was right to spread the revolution. However, it was unknown to Saddaam that treachoury was present in the BAS leadership. The region was hours away from marching on the middle east to ignite a revolution, when holes started to appear. Saddam and the BAS were betrayed by the Vice President of the time and the revolution could not go ahead. Saddam quickly picked up the pieces of the failed revolution and took care of the person responsible.
