Thanks for restoring [[Adoki]]. I am a bit concerned about why you deleted it though. While there may have been some speedy deletion criteria it met, it didn't meet many of the other criteria for speedy deletion. The wiki article had its original population in it, but Adoki actually departed from the game at a significant population. Lots of pages linked to it, and it wasn't just a copy and paste of the nation text from the webgame along with an infobox. It has a category of a dozen or so related articles. It is my understanding that an article which is linked to by pages not written by the same author, which isn't a copy and paste / trivial article, doesn't qualify for speedy deletion at all. Finally, while "Adoki" no longer exists, it is now represented in a new puppet "The Allied States of Commonwealth Ambara" (see: [[Commonwealth of Peoples]]), although in fairness only those following [[User:Owain]]'s roleplaying could be expected to know that. --[[User:Pantocratoria|Pantocratoria]] 03:18, 21 November 2006 (GMT)

== Create "[[National animal]]" article? ==
+
== IDU Cleanup ==

Unless I've missed in in the [[:Category:Gameplaying|Gameplaying]] category, I don't think there is currently an article for national animal like there is for currency, motto and other customisable fields.  I noticed its absence when I created an article called [[Sober Thought national symbols]] and wanted to do an internal link.
+
A cartographer is a map maker, a vexillogist is a flag maker.

Does it exist yet?  If it doesn't, shall I just go ahead and call it "National animal"?  "[[Motto]]" stands on its own well, but somehow "Animal" doesn't quite communicate as clearly.

Some of the general crap, er, content, I put in my own article might sensibly belong there. Basically, what makes a good national anthem and why music and lyrics can cause problems. Could also do a survey like the currency one to see how many anthems are actually new.

[[User:TheUnitedStatesof_America]] has added a large section to the [[Christianity]] article which amounts to, at best, an apologetic for a fundamentalist Christian sect. Thanks for your note on my "talk" page ([[User_talk:Ruventsoria]]). If Pacitalia had explained like that, instead of condemning me for not knowing that info, perhaps some of the headaches I was put through wouldn't have happened.
+

+
However, at the present time, my articles have been removed but the associated "talk" pages remain, and no-one seems willing/able to tell me how to request ''their'' removal. The page you pointed me to ([[NSwiki:Deletion_policy]]) seems to me to deal with removing articles, not "talk" pages.
+

+
Do you believe that adding <nowiki>{{delete}}</nowiki> tags to the "talk" pages is the way to go? Or should we wait for Gruenberg2 to respond to my question on his "talk" page ([[User_talk:Gruenberg2]])?

Okay, so I tried it out using both my RPed GDP/C and the NSEconomy stat. Both times I got a number higher than 1.000, which is, of course, impossible. I'm going to try again, but I have a feeling either the numbers are shockingly correct or I'm doing something horribly wrong. I followed your logarithmic formulae to the tee, don't fret. ;) (( [[User:Pacitalia|<font color="navy">Paci</font>]][[User_talk:Pacitalia|<font color="green">'''talk'''</font>]][[User:Pacitalia|<font color="red">ia</font>]] )) <small>Time sent:</small> 00:56, 30 January 2006 (GMT)

:EDIT: I figured it out. Your formula discriminates against privatised healthcare systems and semi-privatised education ;) That's why my numbers are so low now. I got a math expert into help and when we figured out the right way to do it, I got .462. So, I have to find the figures for my privatised healthcare sector's spending along with the education, which is about 80% private funded. Thanks for your work trying to sort that for me - unfortunately I still have troubles seeing IPA fonts for some stupid reason. It's strange, I'm sure we do have templates here designed to mimic the ones on Wikipedia - I'm just confused why they work there but not here?
+
Perhaps it can't be helped - like I say, thanks for your time anyway.

While I am here though, I was wondering about problems trying to get images resized - I thought the recent update may have changed things but it looks like no sadly - but I'd dearly love to get this feature to work, so am willing to investigate what really makes it work on other Wiki sites but not on this one - if that's okay?

== Ref template ==

+
Hey again
+

+
I'm trying to create the effect of the Ref and Note templates from wikipedia - now I've done the code for the note template and that seems to work fine - however I try the same with the ref template and I get something completely different.

The original code is<br>
+
<nowiki><span class="reference">[{{fullurl:{{FULLPAGENAME}}}}#endnote_{{{1}}}]</span></nowiki>
+

+
Unfortunately all I get on NSWiki as a result is:
+

+
[{{fullurl:Template:FULLPAGENAME}}#endnote_{{{1}}}]
+

+
Which basically just doens't work. I tried adjusting it myself but haven't got the desired effect - is there any way to work around this?

Thanks for fixing the links in the [[Calculators (nation)]] article.  As I said, I chose to put the statistics calculators on the page because they're more linked, and it probably would've taken more work to redirect every link to the page than to do what you did to fix the links.  Once again, thank you very much [[User:LA Ice|LA Ice]] 07:37, 20 February 2006 (GMT)

== Your revised HDI figures ==

I adjusted my own figure, but I hope that isn't too much trouble. I got the same figures as you did without using my RPed stats, but the RPed stats are the ones I use (i.e. my private education and healthcare spending, since those systems are privatised). Plus, even though this may sound arrogant or whatever, there's no way Pacitalia could realistically be that low unless we DID have no spending on healthcare and education, except for what NSEconomy says. I *did* use Panto's spreadsheet to figure out the new number, if you were wondering. Anyway, all's well from this end. If you have a concern, message me back. Plus, the way he had it before helped to differentiate between him (a country) and [[Canada]] (the region.
