Overview

Location: The Holy Realm of Jon Parkin The Holy Empire of Jon Parkin is a very large, safe nation, notable for its absence of drug laws. Its compassionate population of 105 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The enormous government juggles the competing demands of Education, Religion & Spirituality, and Commerce. The average income tax rate is 35%, but much higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Gambling industry, followed by Cheese Exports and Trout Farming. Jon Parkin's national animal is the Beast, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the JP.

History

The Holy Empire of Jon Parkin was never occupied in early history, as it was an island which had not been discovered. When the original tribe first moved here, the Parkish tribe, the landscape was inhospitable and there was little vegetation and little fresh water. But the leader of the tribe at the time was Jon Parkin, and he prayed unto the Lord Brian Horton and did as he said. Brian Horton, in return for Parkin's great deeds, repayed him bringing wildlife, vegetation and rivers to the land. Parkin was made deity and ruler of the country. Jon Parkin can not die, as Brian Horton also rewarded him the ability to regenerate as his life comes to an end.

Sport

The Holy Empire of Jon Parkin is new to the sporting international arena, but before it first official tournament entry of the 18th Under 21 World Championships, where they made the quater-finals, they had been building up squads in many sports, so that when they entered the international stage they would not be humbled by opposition.
